Hi, I’m a longtime Amsterdam local and have called this city home for more than 26 years. As a passionate traveller myself, I know the best journeys are not just about seeing places, but about truly experiencing them and making meaningful connections. I enjoy creating tours that feel personal, relaxed, engaging, and full of authentic moments. Whether it’s your first time in the Netherlands or your fifth, I want you to experience the country in your own unique way. My tours combine famous highlights with hidden corners, local neighbourhoods, food tastings, history, culture, WW2 stories, and Jewish heritage. I especially enjoy introducing my guests to both the famous landmarks and the hidden corners they may never find on their own. Beyond Amsterdam, I also offer countryside tours to charming villages, flower fields, castles, scenic landscapes, and beautiful small towns away from the busy tourist crowds. The Netherlands has so much more to offer than Amsterdam alone. Travel is comfortable and easy in electric Mercedes-Benz minivan for up to 6 guests, with a professional driver, air conditioning, USB charging ports, tinted windows, and complimentary water bottles. For groups larger than 6 people, please contact me for a quote. If the tours currently offered do not fully match your preferences or interests, please feel free to contact me to arrange a customized tour tailored to your wishes and travel style The Netherlands is full of surprises, and I’d be happy to help you discover them You are all very welcome! - Registered as tour guide in the Dutch Chamber of Commerce - Private tour guide in Amsterdam since April 2016 - Official Permit City of Amsterdam for guided tours in the historical centre - Education in Tourism at Leiden Educational Institutions, NL - Official IATA travel agent - Working experience as a tour operator and travel agent - Covid 19 fully vaccinated - Experienced restaurant host with culinary and wine knowledge

Growing up with my grandparents war stories I developed an eagerness for constant searching and learning about the war. As a history buff I am really excited to share my knowledge as well as my family's stories. I am very intrigued to discuss any aspect of the war, hear opinions and stories with respect and empathy to any perspective. During our tour we will deep in Amsterdam's dark history during the worlds biggest conflict. We will explore the city's most significant WWII sights or memorials and I will reveal you the most important war memories of Amsterdam: - Nazis invasion - Struggle of the Dutch during the occupation - Nazis plan for Jews persecution - Role of the Jewish council and the Nationalist party - Development of the resistance including the February strike 1941 - What cause the Dutch famine during the winter 1944/45 - Dam square shooting on '45, the same day Hitler's Germany surrendered - Allies arrival and the liberation by the Canadian troops An intriguing tour for history enthusiasts
- Verzetmuseum (Resistance museum), meeting point (excl visit) - Visit Hollandse schouwburg (Dutch theatre), deportation centre during the WW II - See the Auschwitz monument - Look at De Dokwerker/Portuguese synagogue, war monument related to the February strike 1941 - Visit the Holocaust name monument - Stop at the Monument of Jewish resistance - Walk around the Dam square where the World War II monument is - Walk pass the Anne Frank House (excluding visit) It can be re placed with a visit to the Resistance museum, contact me for details
