I was born and raised in one of the most authentic district of Venice, Cannaregio. After a degree in languages the love for my city, history and art, brought me directly into the professional world of turism, starting as tour leader/escort in 2008 to then get a license as a tour guide 3 years ago. I think that the beauty of the city is the city itself, the little details, secrets, hidden behind a corner the make Venice so unique. Overview of your Venice tour
Venice has a food culture quite unlike anywhere else in Italy - or the world, for that matter. There is no farmable land here; so no meat, dairy or grains. Originally constructed of wood, the whole city was a fire hazard; so no wood-burning ovens for pizza. However, as a trading city, Venice had access to spices from around the world, not to mention an endless supply of fish. On this tour, you'll get to the heart of the city through its stomach! We'll be visiting the Rialto Fish Market and the best cicchetti bars as well as a true venecian district a little away from the crowd.
Your Venice tour itinerary
-We'll be strolling around the districts of S. Polo and S. Marco visiting some of the best local "osteria" to taste local cicchetti(venecian tapas) and wine. -We'll be stopping at 3 Osteria for about 30 min each, the walking distance between the various Osteria is very short so there's no big walking effort required.
