We will then continue to the magnificent Doge’s Palace, once the political center of Venice, where you will explore grand halls, council chambers and hidden corridors. During the tour we will also cross the famous Bridge of Sighs and uncover the stories of the prisoners who once passed through it. As an art historian and passionate local guide, I will bring to life the art, power and intrigue that shaped Venice for centuries.

Meet in St Mark’s Square and introduction to the history of Venice. • Visit inside St Mark's Basilica to admire its extraordinary golden mosaics and discover the fascinating story of the church. • Continue to the magnificent Doge's Palace, once the political heart of the Venetian Republic. • Explore the grand halls, council chambers and one of the biggest institutional chambers in Europe • Walk across the famous Bridge of Sighs and hear the stories of prisoners who once crossed it. * The basilica is an active church; therefore, appropriate clothing suitable for a place of worship is required (shoulders and knees covered). Backpacks are not allowed in both the sites.

At the foot of St. Mark's Campanile (Bell Tower) in St. Mark's Square, in front of the Basilica, the tallest tower in the square. I will be waiting for you directly beneath the bell tower, one of the easiest landmarks to find in Venice. Please arrive 10 minutes early.
