Hi, I'm Veronica! Born and raised in a town not far from Milan, I moved to Venice when I was 19 and it has been love at first sight. From then on, I've always considered the lagoon my home, my nest, the place where I feel safe and loved. I've studied Oriental Languages at Ca' Foscari University and I graduated in Mandarin, a choice that made me travel a lot in China and live there for many years. Living abroad gave the opportunity to appreciate the different shades of a different culture and made me see my own culture as part of a wonderful melting pot which is the world. I has been a teacher for quite a few years, both in Shanghai and in Italy, and this is an important aspect of myself: I love to share and communicate. I have also lived in beautiful Florence where I studied art, another great love of my life. Now, as tour guide, I have this amazing privilege to combine my greatest passions, so I can share the enthusiasm for my city with people who, like me, are eager to 'live' another country not as a stranger, to walk in the streets feeling a local, to taste the specialties and going back home with a wonderful experience and, why not, a new friend. What I like most is to personalize every experience for my guests, following their inclinations, their interests and curiosity. So if you're planning to come to Venice, let's get in touch! I'll be delighted to create bespoke tours for you! - Tourist Guide License 4917/2018 (Florence and province) - Professional licensed Tour Leader Licensed guides have no restrictions.

The Golden Basilica is the enduring symbol of Venice’s spiritual, political, and artistic grandeur. To stand beneath its mosaics, to witness the Pala d’Oro’s brilliance, and to walk on its ancient floors is to connect with a thousand years of history. Immerse yourself in this unique experience which, no doubt, will leave you an unforgettable memory. As an active place of worship, the Basilica has a strict dress code. Visitors must have their knees and shoulders covered Man are asked not to wear hats inside. While shawls are sometimes available for purchase in the square, it would be better to bring something to cover the shoulders or to dress accordingly from the outset.
We will visit: - the interior of the Basilica - the Pala d'Oro (the golden altarpiece) - the Museum of the Basilica with the beautiful four horses and the terrace
