Aboard a private traditional wooden water taxi, we’ll cruise along the Grand Canal, admiring the extraordinary façades of Venice’s palaces and hearing the stories of the fascinating people who once lived behind them. We’ll pause in front of St. Mark’s Square for spectacular views and photographs of the Doge’s Palace and Bridge of Sighs, and admire some of Venice’s most beautiful churches from the water. Then we’ll leave the Grand Canal behind and venture deep into narrow, quiet waterways where larger boats cannot go. Along the way, discover hidden gardens, leaning bell towers, mysterious statues of monsters and angels, ancient boatyards and unexpected corners of Venetian life. Rialto: Meet Matteo and your private boat captain beside the Rialto Bridge and board your traditional Venetian wooden water taxi. Grand Canal: Cruise beneath Rialto Bridge and admire the magnificent palaces lining Venice’s most famous waterway, while discovering the stories of the people who once lived in them. St. Mark’s Basin: Stop for spectacular views and photographs of St. Mark’s Square, the Doge’s Palace and the Bridge of Sighs. Venice’s hidden waterways: Leave the Grand Canal and venture into narrow canals inaccessible to larger boats, discovering beautiful churches, hidden gardens, leaning bell towers, mysterious statues, traditional gondola boatyards and unexpected corners of Venetian life. Return to Rialto: Cruise back through Venice after two unforgettable hours on the water. The private boat is not included in the tour price. The additional cost is €350 for up to 4 guests, plus €10 for each additional guest, payable in cash directly to the boat captain on the day of the tour.
