Buongiorno! My name is Caterina, and I was born and raised in Venice, coming from a family that has been Venetian for generations. Although I spent six wonderful years living in Paris and a few months in London, my roots have always called me back to my beloved city, a place I find difficult to leave for long. Venice is not just where I live, but a fundamental part of who I am. Tourism was not my first career. In what I like to call my “previous life,” I worked in the banking sector, first in Venice and later in Paris. However, I soon realized that this was not my true calling. After returning home, I chose to follow my passion and began my “second life” as a professional tour guide. While preparing for my certification, I started working as a museum guide, especially with children. This remains one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. For this reason, families with children are always welcome, I love finding engaging and creative ways to involve younger visitors and make the experience enjoyable for everyone. I hold a Master’s Degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, specializing in French and English, with a strong academic focus on History and Art History. I am also a certified tour guide (2006/2007) in both English and French. I am particularly passionate about contemporary art and regularly lead tours in some of Venice’s most important institutions, including the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, the François Pinault collections, and the Biennale. What I love most about my work is sharing the story of Venice in all its facets: its rich history, extraordinary art and architecture, but also its hidden corners, local anecdotes, and the authentic daily life of this truly unique city. I look forward to welcoming you and helping you discover Venice through the eyes of someone who deeply loves and lives it every day. I can organize private transportation by private car and driver or by private boat. If my calendar seems full, don’t hesitate to contact me anyway. I may still be able to accommodate you.
