I belong to a Venetian family of documented ancient origins. After obtaining my Tourism High School diploma, I lived for two years in the United States where I collaborated with the US Department of the Interior in San Francisco, at the Golden Gate Recreation Area, for the translation into Italian of the documentation on Alcatraz Island. I then worked for a year as a cultural representative at EPCOT Center - Walt Disney World Co. in Orlando, Florida. Once back in Venice, I graduated with honors in History from Venice University Ca' Foscari, concentrating my studies on Venetian and Byzantine Art and History. In 2000 I became a Qualified Tourist Guide of Venice and the Venetian Villas. I love traveling and local cuisine, the sea, nature, animals, and 60s and 70s pop and rock. Over the years I dedicated myself to the promotion of initiatives aimed at the dissemination of Venetian culture and held lectures on Venice's History and Art for the UNESCO Campaign on safeguarding Venice, contributing to the restoration of two 15th and 19th-century paintings preserved in the local church of Santa Maria Formosa. I recently obtained a master's degree with honors in Economics and Management of Arts and Cultural Activities, studying in depth subjects related to the international law and the protection of cultural heritage, UNESCO and to sustainable tourism. QUALIFICATION - Italian National Register of Tourist Guides # 05000168 - Venice Tour guide qualification # 232 06/04/2000 (issued by Regione Veneto /Venice Metropolitan Area) - Tour Manager qualification # 68 28/11/1988 (issued by Regione Veneto) - Port Security Pass #25656 (issued by Venice Port Authority) - University Degree in History - Master University Degree in Economy and Management of Arts and Cultural Activities. None.

As a local tour guide I will highlight all the most important sights of Venice, those you should not miss at all. We'll start the tour with an overview of the most important monuments in the heart of Venice: the Bridge of Sighs, the Doges Palace, the Bell Tower and the Clock Tower. We'll look in details at the Church of Saint Mark, the oldest building in Venice, and admire its Byzantine mosaics with all the peculiar decoration in stone and mosaics, and the four horses. We'll continue walking through the backstreets "far from the madding crowd". We'll see one of the most interesting monumental areas of the city, with the famous monument of Colleoni by Verrocchio (Leonardo's master). Then, it will be time to board a luxury boat and take a ride through the Venetian lagoon to discover its natural features, and you will eventually reach the Island of Murano to see how the outstanding world famous glass is produced. You will see the celebrated glass masters shaping with incredible ability.
-The tour begins in the Square of St Mark (I can meet you at your hotel if it is located not far from St Mark's). -We'll see all the monument around the Square. -We continue walking through the backstreets and the less tourist area. -There will be then a private boat tour and the visit to Murano island, and finally, the boat will take us back to St Mark's where the tour will end.
