Buongiorno! Nice to meet you! I am Abigail, a proud Italian with an English mother and Italian father. I am an Art History expert and I would love to share with you my passion for the two Italian cities I love the most, Venice and Rome! I have studied the history of art and painting in Venice during high school and then graduated with honours in Management of Cultural Tourism. I have always loved art together with travelling and discovering all aspects of culture. During my university career I experienced one year abroad with a scholarship in Spain and also took part in a prestigious internship with the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, one of my favourite museums in town. Just after graduation I studied for my tour leader and tour guide licenses and then attended several art history courses in Rome and the UK. Since then I have been sharing the beauty of Venice and Rome with visitors from all over the world. I love meeting people and I hope I will manage to make your day memorable! :) Official Tour Guide License; Official Tour Leader License; Degree with Honours in Management of Cultural Tourism; Venice Peggy Guggenheim Collection Guide; Vatican Museums Authorised Tour Guide; Venice Port Authority License.

Stroll by the stalls of fresh produce at the Rialto Market, stopping at five different 'Bacari', the Venetian bars, for a glass of wine and a few 'cicchetti', small portions of traditional food. We Venetains often enjoy a Bacaro tour instead of a traditional meal sitting at a table, simply standing along the street talking with our friends and meeting new people. This is part of the Venetian lifestyle! Try some typical fish cicchetti such as cuttlefish with polenta, 'sarde in saor' sardines with a sweet onion dressing or fried fish; if you prefer meat go for a selection with prosciutto ham, salami and tasty cheese. This tour gives you the possibility to try also some typical wine produced in the Veneto countryside such as a sparkling Prosecco or a red Merlot. It is possible to customize this tour with personal requests such as gluten-free or vegeterian cicchetti.
-From Campo S. Bortolomeo we'll cross the Rialto bridge and discover the Rialto market area, famous in particular for its fish section (the market stalls sell food from Tuesday to Saturday from 8 am to 12. 30 am). -The Bacari, Venetian bars, where we'll stop for the food and wine tasting are all very close to the market area. -Each bar is famous for different typical wines and 'cicchetti' so at each stop you will try something different and discover the Venetian culture through its cusine.
