Hi! I am Riccardo, photographer, art historian, surfer, traveler and of course, tour guide! I'm from Vicenza, a city one hour west from Venice and I've been living in Venice for a long time now: this city attracted me since the first time I visited it as a kid. Wandering around its alleys with my mum made me sense its magical atmosphere and immediately enchanted me. My bond with Venice grew stronger over the years, so I couldn't help but moving here as soon as I could. Venice is my home, it has been for a long time. I love it and our relationship is pretty intense — sometimes too much. Being a tour guide helps me share these emotions with my guests. Venice has many beautiful things: art, history and beauty everywhere, but also lesser known, underground curiosities. I want you to discover them through my food, photo and walking tours to help you to get the best from your experience in this magical place. Being in love with this city is what makes the difference from simply being an expert of it, know its soul is the only way to get "her" essence, and what I want is just to help everyone to achieve this magic connection. - Official Tour Guide License - Official Tour Leader License - Art History Bachelor's degree - Economics and Management of Art Master degree - Professional Photographer - Architectural Restorer none

If you are only in the city for a day, or you just have a few hours to explore, this is the perfect Venice tour for you. The Best of Venice in a Day is the perfect tour for you if you don't have much time to explore the city but you want to make sure you visit all its milestones. As a professional tour guide, I know that when you travel to a place you've never been before it can be difficult to make the most out of it if you don't have much time. You need to understand how to get around the city, how to find the best transport, which attractions to visit first and which ones can be left behind if they don't fit in the schedule. I know it's hard to do all this, or even just to find a good place where to taste the local cuisine without being ripped off… you need to know Venice properly, if you want to save time and money and - most of all - if you want to really enjoy it. The ideal way to get a glimpse of everything Venice has to offer… in a single day!
The Best of Venice in a Day will start from a central area to immediately move to the off the beaten track spots. Of course the schedule will be a bit tight, but the walking tour of Venice is private and customizable based on your needs. It will be a complete tour of the city, where you'll get to visit popular tourist spots but also some secret areas rarely seen by travelers. We are going to enjoy some of the most beautiful and quiet spots around Cannaregio sestiere with its stunning churches and building. Then we are going to immerse in the alluring Castello sestiere and it's beautiful glimpses After a lunch break we'll visit Rialto Bridge and the magnificent St. Mark's Square and its amazing curiosities. Then we'll cross the Grand Canal with a typical boat on our way to explore the artsy Dorsoduro sestiere. Finally I'll give you many recommendations, I can bring you back or you can continue exploring the city!
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
We are mainly going to walk and get a small boat to cross the Grand Canal
Campo San Bartolomio, Venezia, Veneto, 30124, Italy
I pick up in some areas of San Marco sestiere, some areas of Cannaregio sestiere and some areas of Castello sestiere, the closer ones to the area of the tour. If your accommodation is located in the other Sestieri of the city more than 15-20 min far from the meeting point the price will be higher. In case contact me first before booking the tour.
