My job is my hobby! Communicating the beauty of Venice is my mission. Venice, the jewel of the sea, is not just a city; it's a living, breathing work of art. And who better to unveil its captivating essence than a local born and bred amidst its enchanting canals and historic streets? Meet a professional guide and passionate Venetian on a mission to share the splendor of this magical city in the most interesting, detailed, and, dare we say, amusing way possible. Studying history and art at the local university, I made it my life's profession. Explore Venice with an Art Historian! I've been zigzagging across the world to satisfy an insatiable curiosity for different cultures. Working in Ireland and Finland, I ventured as an ambassador of Italian culture, teaching art and heritage at the University level. But like a homing pigeon, my heart always led me back to Venice. The magnetic pull of the canals, the age-old architecture, and the rich tapestry of history brought me back home to create a unique profession that would truly reflect my passion: becoming licensed tourist guide in 2009. And it's not just about showcasing the beauty of Venice; it's about preserving it. In my capable hands, Venice transforms from a place in a map to a vivid, living story that you become a part of. Get ready to experience Venice like never before, and remember, you're not just a tourist; you're part of Venice's ongoing history, and I'm here to show you just how wonderful that can be. Venetian born and raised in Venice, I became an art lover by opening the window of my home. (Art Historian) Bachelor of Arts with an artistic focus from Ca' Foscari University of Venice Worked as an Art Teacher in European Colleges Licensed Tour Guide since 2009 If my calendar seems full, don’t hesitate to contact me anyway. I may still be able to accommodate you. I can organize private transportation by private car and driver or by private boat. Please note that I provide pick-up and drop-off at the hotel only through the driver. I will meet you directly at the designated meeting point. For easy communication on the day of the tour, I suggest downloading WhatsApp on your smartphone.

Is it possible to cover all the best and most known attractions in the Venice area only in 3 hours? Well of course, if you select this Comprehensive Tour. We could divide it in 2 parts, the first one around Saint Mark's square for a classic sightseeing experience that encompasses iconic Venetian highlights such as the Rialto Bridge, the Bridge of Sighs, the Bell & Clock Tower, and the second one after taking a boat to Murano. Away from the crowds, you'll be guided through the backstreets to explore the city's layout, discover its history and traditions, its products, food and wines from the closest areas. In Murano, we'll get off the boat directly to visit an active glass factory which still produces several items, which are sold to many retailers, such as chandeliers, drinking glasses, vases and sculptures. The glass experience will cover the demonstration. I spent all my youth inside these art factories so I'm very familiar with the entire process and I'll be happy to guide you through it!
-Starting in Saint Mark's square area, we'll cover the typical attractions of the city centre, such as Saint Mark's Basilica, Doge's Palace & the Bell Tower. -We'll then pass by little alleys where we'll reach Marco Polo's burned house. -Continuing with a relaxing walk towards the Grand Canal, we'll glance through a secretive and exclusive public view of the Water Boulevard and Rialto's Bridge. -Afterwards, we'll enjoy the square of Saint John and Paul. -Immediately after, we'll get on board a private luxury motorboat towards the island of Murano. -On arrival, we'll visit the famous Murano Glass Factory. -After the visit we'll go back on the boat to return to Venice, where we'll finish the tour at the point where we got on the boat. The itinerary can be customized according to your needs & requests. Note: In the museums, archaeological sites, churches, etc, the dress code for both men and women requires shoulders and knees to be covered. Shorts and skirts are fine, but below the knees
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
