Ciao! I’m Donatella, and Venice isn't just my workplace, it’s my home and my passion. I grew up navigating these canals, and nothing brings me more joy than showing travelers the Venice that exists beyond the postcards. From the golden mosaics of St. Mark’s to the quiet, artisan workshops of Cannaregio, I’ll help you skip the crowds and experience the authentic rhythm of my city. As a licensed tour guide with years of experience, I specialize in bringing the complex history of the Venetian Republic to life. My tours are designed for the curious traveler who wants to understand the 'why' behind the beauty. Whether we are exploring the Doge’s Palace or tracing the footsteps of Casanova, my goal is to provide deep historical context mixed with the vibrant, modern-day stories that make Venice a living masterpiece. I can organize private transportation by private car and driver or by private boat. If my calendar seems full, don’t hesitate to contact me anyway. I may still be able to accommodate you.

As a descendent of Byzantium, Venice developed an art deeply influenced by the eastern capital. When the Renaissance arrived, it took on a unique character thanks to Bellini, Titian, Tintoretto, and Veronese. We’ll start at the Church of S. Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, home to masterpieces like Titian’s Assumption and Pesaro Altarpiece, Donatello’s John the Baptist, and Bellini’s Pesaro Triptych. Next, we’ll visit the Scuola di San Rocco, Tintoretto’s 24-year masterpiece, remarkably preserved through history. Finally, we’ll explore the Church of San Sebastiano, decorated by Veronese, who is also buried there. Along the way, I’ll guide you through the fascinating stories behind these works, bringing the Venetian Renaissance to life.
