Venetian Art: Private Visit of The Accademia Gallery

The Accademia Gallery is the main Museum of Venetian Painting in town. Created under Napoleon as "Royal Academy of Fine Arts" the Collection gathers several masterpieces by the greatest Venetian painters - Bellini, Carpaccio, Titian, Tintoretto, Veronese, Tiepolo. As a Venetian and an Art Expert I consider this Museum a real treasure. This is the place where I can show you how the Rialto bridge looked like over five hundred years ago and where I can explain you how to 'read' Titian's last canvas. I will meet you in front of the Museum's entrance and we'll visit the collection following a chronological order. We will explore together the magic of the Venetian Painting, we will track the historical context, focus on techniques and admire the bright colours that have made the Venetian painting renowned in the world. The visit of the Museum may be followed by a short walk in the surroundings.
