Buongiorno! Nice to meet you! I am Abigail, a proud Italian with an English mother and Italian father. I am an Art History expert and I would love to share with you my passion for the two Italian cities I love the most, Venice and Rome! I have studied the history of art and painting in Venice during high school and then graduated with honours in Management of Cultural Tourism. I have always loved art together with travelling and discovering all aspects of culture. During my university career I experienced one year abroad with a scholarship in Spain and also took part in a prestigious internship with the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, one of my favourite museums in town. Just after graduation I studied for my tour leader and tour guide licenses and then attended several art history courses in Rome and the UK. Since then I have been sharing the beauty of Venice and Rome with visitors from all over the world. I love meeting people and I hope I will manage to make your day memorable! :) Official Tour Guide License; Official Tour Leader License; Degree with Honours in Management of Cultural Tourism; Venice Peggy Guggenheim Collection Guide; Vatican Museums Authorised Tour Guide; Venice Port Authority License.

As a Venetian the best way to enjoy my city is by boat! It is definitely the best way to enjoy the beauty of its architecture but also to capture its atmospheres and rhythm. From a boat you can see the reflections of the stunning Palazzi and churches, you can sail under the bridges and you can see the facades of the buildings and their decorations from a closer point of view. We'll start from the most busy water way in Venice, the Grand Canal, before sailing under the Rialto bridge and close to the Rialto market famous for its colorful stalls full of fruit, vegetables and fish. Rialto has been since its origins the heart of trade and commerce of the town and is today one of the most beautiful markets in Italy. We will also sail by the islands of San Servolo, San Lazzaro degli Armeni, Lido , Vignole, Certosa and Murano discovering secrets and traditions together with the importance of the lagoon for the city and what is being done to protect this fragile ecosystem.
-We'll board the private water taxi from S. Mark's Square and from there we will sail along the Grand Canal and under the Rialto Bridge. -We'll also sail along some of the minor canals of the city discovering secret corners, beautiful palaces and churches. -With our private boat we will sail by some other main islands in the center of the lagoon such as San Servolo, with the International University of Venice; San Lazzaro, home of a community of Armenian monks; Lido the beach of the Venetians; Certosa and Murano where the glass is still made by hand.
