Ciao! I'm Isabella. Welcome to Venice and my ToursByLocals page! I was born in Padua in 1965 but I've lived in Venice for 40 years. I moved to Venice to attend college and settled down. After graduation in Anglo American literature I worked for the International Movie Festival, at the bookstore of Venice Civic Museums and for a while I devoted myself to teaching. In 1998 I approached tourism and got specialized in cruise excursions. A few years later I became a professional guide and decided to customize tours for private clients. I love food and cooking and that's why when touring I always talk about local specialties and culinary traditions. After many years I still get excited about my adoptive city. I'm very happy when I see people enjoying the time together and get dazzled by Venice beauty! Overview of your Venice tour
Let's visit the symbols of the political and religious power of the most admired "city-state" in the old Continent. Venice, also called "The Queen of the Adriatic" was able to develop a body of laws and international relationships that allowed her to prosper. During our visit I'll take you to the rooms where political and administrative power was exerted. The Golden Basilica was the private chapel of the Palace and a State-church. Its golden mosaics glitter. Many infos condensed in a few hours for a content-rich tour! ATT: the tour includes just the basic entrance tickets to St Mark's basilica.

Your Venice tour itinerary
- An overview of the main tourist attractions around St Mark's Square, including the clock tower and the towerbellfry, will be followed by a visit to the precious Basilica and to the ancient Parliament: the Doge's Palace. - The visit to the Doge's Palace lasts one hour approx. You can buy the tickets on line in advance or I can buy for you on the spot. - The visit to the church lasts one hour approx. On religious festivities the church might be closed or with limited access. The above schedule may vary according to the church reservation time. In the summer it is hot in these museums Museums are usually less crowded in the afternoon
