Private Tour Of The Peggy Guggenheim Collection

The Peggy Guggenheim Collection is one of my favourite museums in Venice, a truly magical place with incredible history. During my university career I was selected for a prestigious internship together with other students from all over the world, that gave me the possibility to study its works of art from a very special point of view together with the history of the gallery and many anecdotes on Peggy Guggenheim's life. The collection is among the most important museums in Italy for European and American art of the first half of the 20th century. It is located in Peggy's former home, Palazzo Venier dei Leoni on the Grand Canal. The museum presents Peggy Guggenheim's personal collection with masterpieces by the most important avant-garde European artists such as Picasso, Braque, Ernst, Miro' and Magritte together with American abstract expressionist Jackson Pollock.

-We'll meet at the entrance of the museum located at : Palazzo Venier dei Leoni Dorsoduro 701 (Accademia or Salute waterbus stop). -After buying the tickets we'll enter the garden and then the Palace to discover the masterpieces of the Collection. Medium/large size bags and umbrellas have to be left at the deposit (free of charge). Opening hours Daily 10 am - 6 pm Closed Tuesdays
