Ciao! I'm Isabella. Welcome to Venice and my ToursByLocals page! I was born in Padua in 1965 but I've lived in Venice for 40 years. I moved to Venice to attend college and settled down. After graduation in Anglo American literature I worked for the International Movie Festival, at the bookstore of Venice Civic Museums and for a while I devoted myself to teaching. In 1998 I approached tourism and got specialized in cruise excursions. A few years later I became a professional guide and decided to customize tours for private clients. I love food and cooking and that's why when touring I always talk about local specialties and culinary traditions. After many years I still get excited about my adoptive city. I'm very happy when I see people enjoying the time together and get dazzled by Venice beauty! Certified professional guide: Italian National Register of Tourist Guides # 08000034 Tour manager license # 591 (Veneto Region) Port Security Pass # 25231 (Venice Port Authority) Education: University Degree in Anglo-American Literature All my tours can be customized: do not hesitate to contact me! Licensed guides have no restrictions. For tours run on the mainland, I apply to professional drivers.

This tour wants to offer a panorama of the most influential architect who was born and operated in the Veneto region in the XVI century: Andrea Palladio. Palladio's architectural theories became famous worldwide and influenced many architects like Thomas Jefferson's with his Monticello and the University of Virginia. In Vicenza we will visit villa La Rotonda (outside) and the Teatro Olimpico (Olympic Theatre). We suggest to stop for lunch in the charming hamlet of Asolo We are going to spend the afternoon visiting two countryside villas Maser and Emo.
-Upon meeting we board our private van and drive to Vicenza to see villa La Rotonda and visit the Teatro Olimpico. After lunch in Asolo we focus on two villas: Villa Emo, built by Andrea Palladio in mid 1500 for a reach Venetian family and Villa Barbaro in Maser, where Palladio died in 1580. The atmosphere due to their locations and the beautiful frescoes is great! The tour might follow another order due to the opening hours of the museums.
