Hi! My name is Serena, and I was born and raised in Venice, so I am a real local. I got a degree in foreign languages and literature with a specialization in art history. I speak English and Spanish fluently. I decided to become a tour guide cause this job (that I love) allows me to join my passions: art history and foreign languages, and because I love meeting people from all around the world and helping them to discover my lovely city. During my tours, not only do I take guests to the most iconic places in Venice, but I also show them some hidden corners located off the beaten path. Since I know every single corner of Venice (which can sometimes be a real labyrinth of narrow streets), I can customize all the tours. If you have any specific requests, I will do my best to fulfill them. I also do tours with kids because I have a daughter, and I know how to entertain them during a tour.

The Venetian lagoon is made up of 118 islands; 2 of them hold the secrets of two ancient manufacturing arts: glass blowing and lace making. We will meet at your hotel and with a water taxi we will reach Murano, where we'll visit one of the certified Murano glass factories where, since 1000 years ago expert glass masters shape the glass to produce works of art that embellish many places around the world (for example the Royal Palace in Thailand ). Another taxi will take us to the fishing village of Burano with its wonderful coloured houses. Get your camera ready, cause every small house will enchant you and you will want to take pictures of them all. We will visit a lace atelier where one of the few lace makers left on the island will show you how they patiently make beautiful tablecloths, runners, and doilies only using needle and cotton threads. We will taste the traditional cookies of the island: bussolà, and finally, we will catch a taxi to go back.
