My name is Cecilia, I was born and raised on the mainland but I have a real strong connection with Venice: my family comes from the Rialto Market area and my great-grandfather owned one of the most prestigious café in St. Mark's Square. After graduating at the University of Venice in Economy and Management of Arts, I've decided to follow my istincts and after few years I got my diploma of sommelier (2008). I've studied (and I currently study!) a lot and I worked in one of the best wine shop of Venice. In 2020 I successfully passed with distinction the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 2. At present I lead wine courses for a few American Military bases in Italy. Licensed tour leader, I love my job because I love Venice, its hints and shapes but, first of all, I strongly believe that the culinary heritage is an essential part of its history. I love to visit the Market and chat with local vendors, taste new wines and share my Passion in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Ready to discover the secrets of Prosecco and to learn about the most authentic venetian recipes while sorrounded by the timeless Beauty of Venice? Italian sommelier diploma (F.I.S.A.R.) Wine & Spirit Education Trust - Level 2 Accompagnatore Turistico (ISCOM. Emilia Romagna - license n. 119 , 13/09/2018) I am not a licensed tour guide and will not be able to guide you inside of museums and historical monuments.

Take this relaxing orientation tour to enjoy Venice from its main element - water! Considered as one of the most beautiful boulevard by Napoleon, the Gran Canal -with its S-shaped path- is the main street that divides the city in two. The palazzos here had the function of showing how wealthy and rich a family was and you will get to see yourself, it's incredible the level of style you can admire. City of merchants, Venice was the capital of trading and with this tour you will embrace the beauty of the city in the comfort of a private boat, just for you and your party. Also not to miss - we'll have a bottle of local Prosecco to make our experience even more interesting and delicious.
During this tour we will sail the Gran Canal to take some beautiful pictures of Doge's palace and St Mark's from our private boat. According to the tide level we will then explore some hidden areas like Castello and Cannaregio, more residential and picturesque, including Dorsoduro and the marvelous "squero", an ancient gondola factory. We will then sail part of the open lagoon to see, for example, San Michele cemetery and Murano, the island of glass blowers and Lido where Venetians go for the beach. * This itinerary can be customized upon request.
