Daniela was our wonderful tour guide of Hidden Venice. This was our second tour with her, and we were so happy we did. We met her at Cannaregio for the walking tour of the old Jewish Ghetto. She explained where some of the street were now that were canals, and why and where the Ghetto was located. We saw many synagogues of different countries located in the same areas. We heard about the history as well as the sadness that often occurred in this area, especially during the WW2. We were fascinated about this community and the wonderful historical and present day effects on the history of Venice. The Secret Garden and beautiful palazzi are not to be missed. You will thoroughly love Daniela as much as we did, and she will bring such a different perspective on this tour.

An enchanting walking tour in the northern district of Venice, Cannaregio. We'll taste a bit of real venetian life, wandering through one of the most surprising parts of the city, beloved by one of the main painters of the Renaissance: Tintoretto. We'll discover a lively and enchanting neighbourhood where the Venetians still live. Through some evocative lesser known streets we'll enter the real soul of Venice, till we reach the Jewish Ghetto dated from 1516: it's the oldest ghetto in the world, and nowadays it still keeps a unique atmosphere. Along our tour we'll stop at a very special venetian bacaro: a typical bistrot where you can taste some delicious bites (cicchetti in our language) and a glass of traditional Spritz!
