Ciao! My name is Giuseppina, I was born in Venice and I have lived here almost all my life, in a house a few steps from Piazza San Marco, next to the opera house. Since I was little I have always been surrounded by culture and art; my father took me to see an opera when I was 5 years old, I studied ballet for many years and I fell in love with beauty since childhood. Working as a guide in my city is the best thing that could happen to me: Venice is unique in every sense: for its history, for its geographical conformity, for its position, and I love explaining to my guests why it is so particular; I do it during walks between a coffee and an ice cream, I love showing museums and sites of interest without lecturing, but with the hope that those who listen to me will fall in love with the place they are visiting as it happened to me. Plus, Venice is a city that is still alive, and I like to show aspects of daily life: my satisfaction is that my guests feel like Venetians during their stay. I can customize my tours according to your needs. Want to have a relaxing introduction to Venice without museuming, have a fresh view of town and fill your eyes with natural and man made beauty? This could be the tour for you! We will have a short introduction of town while reaching the boat dock, then jumping on a private watertaxi have a wonderful boat ride through the incredible Grand Canal, called the most beautiful street in the world. After 1 hour boat ride, last stop is Murano. The island is famous since the 13th century for its production of glass: initially for glass beads and mirrors, later for chandeliers; visiting a glass factory is a real local experience and there's no other way to understand this fantastic art. Tour ends back in Venice centre.
Guiseppina was truly outstanding. We had a most memorable day with her. It was a day we’ll always remember.
We really enjoyed the grand canal private boat and Murano glass factory tour with Giuseppina. This was our first visit to Venice and was a great way to see Venice, from the water’s perspective, and an ideal tour to take after a long journey from the United States. Giuseppina was a wonderful host - both informative and very personable. She shared insights into the architecture of the city buildings and waterways. Highly recommend Giuseppina to guide you during your trip to Venice, whether it is this particular tour or a different one.
We had a great time on our tour with Giusy and would highly recommend.
If we could give this tour and guide 10 stars, we would enthusiastically do so! Giuseppina customized this tour for us last May and it was PERFECT! She seemed to be able to read our minds and lead us to see just the right sights and explain them in a very friendly, engaging, and educational way. Her knowledge of world, European, and Venetian history combined with her background as an architect and her expertise in art history helped us to see the real Venice! Quite simply, Giuseppina is the best of the best! We met as strangers on the morning of our tour, but by the end of the day we parted as dear friends. Giuseppina made us fall in love with Venice so we will certainly go back, and when we do, Giuseppina will be our guide!
* Tour starts at your hotel. * We reach St. Mark square or the easiest dock to board for the water ride. * We board on a private watertaxi in order to see the main street of the city, the Grand Canal, and you will agree that the best way to enjoy my town is by water: while indulging among suberb Palazzos and small canals, passing under the Rialto bridge and sightseeing the market, it is possible to cross the city and reach the north part of it. * Instead of turning back to city centre, we'll head to Murano isalnd and visit a proper factory, where you'll be able to see the masters at work and get in love with their art. It is possible to visit their gallery and purchase some pieces of art if you like them. * tour ends in St. Mark square with the boat of the factory.

We have an 1 hour boat ride; the rest of the tour is very light walk.
