Venice is a city of unmatched beauty but it is also one of the most visited places in the world, how can you make sure to get an authentic experience and a personal sense that will help build your own memory and make your stay truly special? With me of course! First of all as a professional certified guide I can lead you into all the historical buildings like churches, museums and art galleries with no limitations, this means you'll always get reliable and qualified information about all you'll see. Secondly as a local resident who lives and works in central Venice I'll share with you my favourite places in town both 'away from the crowds' but also the sites any first comer expect to see, in all cases I'll provide you the meaning and sense of all what is listed in my tours. My goal is always the same, turn you in my local companion, a person who is ready to be a Venetian for the time he'll be in town, then rely on my expertise for first hand hints regarding our wonderful food&drink, shopping, things to do, events and exhibits plus all 'what's about'. Come with me through large areas of this stunning city void of 'sightseers', get ravished by Venice's matchless beauty as you walk at your own pace, find out that Venice is not just a 'must see' place but a beautiful city with many locations, sites and buildings worth to be seen and appreciated. Be ready to be captivated and follow me! About Me. I was born in Spain from a Spanish mother and an Italian father whose family originated in the Veneto region, my grandpa's sister migrated to the US in the early 20th century where her descendants reached now the 5th generation. I lived in London, Madrid and Rome with my parents but I also travelled a lot with them and my sister because of my dad's job for an airline and to visit my mum's side of the family I also spent many summers in the Spanish region of Galicia. I worked in the tourist business for most of my life, I begun travelling extensively both in Italy and abroad as a tour manager for American and Italian travel companies until 2001 when I settled in Venice and passed my exam to become a certified guide. Love brought me, as it has for so many others, to the most romantic city, my Venetian wife and I both live in a 13th century building located in the very heart of town. NOTICE If you intend to visit Venice in any date from April 1st to October 31st - very high season - please contact me before booking as my availability can change rapidly. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ GUIDE QUALIFICATION Italian National Register of Tourist Guides # 05000020 https://portaleprofessioni.ministeroturismo.gov.it/guide-list EDUCATION Bachelor Degree in ''Art Conservation of Cultural Heritage'' (Venice University)

As any first time visitor in Venice you're eager to grasp the city's main areas and landmarks and its special ambiance. Join my tour then, and in a 3 hour leisure walk get introduced to my city. Start in a grand style walking through 'the piazza', San Marco square and get acquainted with Venice's greatest buildings, the Doge's Palace past center of government and the nine century old byzantine Basilica. Let's get inside and admire its stunning decoration of ancient marbles and shimmering golden mosaics. I'll manage for a skip-the-line entrance to avoid long lines. (April>Ocotber). And continue later walking through the central district ready to listen to me tell you about the history, the art&arquitecture and the present life of Venice. In this tour will include 4 of the original 6 districts stopping in places of major interest. Last but not least the Rialto bridge and market area awaits us at the end of the walk, the perfect spot where to stop for lunch or have a drink.
-After meeting your guide in san Marco square you'll enter the church and get an introduction about the architecture, the mosaic decoration and how the cult of Mark became so important. -Leaving the square the walk will continue in the Castello district one of the largest. Pass by the campo Santa Maria Formosa to rech later the church of san Giovanni and Paolo and the old confraternity of san Marco now the main hospital. -Shortly you'll reach the norhtern end of Venice and get a great view of the vast lagoon. Continue your walk through the Cannaregio district passing by huge the Jesuit church, crossing the Gran Canal on a barge (if it doesn't rain) and ending by the Rialto area a great place for a lunch break or an early evening glass of wine.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
