Hi, I'm Veronica! Born and raised in a town not far from Milan, I moved to Venice when I was 19 and it has been love at first sight. From then on, I've always considered the lagoon my home, my nest, the place where I feel safe and loved. I've studied Oriental Languages at Ca' Foscari University and I graduated in Mandarin, a choice that made me travel a lot in China and live there for many years. Living abroad gave the opportunity to appreciate the different shades of a different culture and made me see my own culture as part of a wonderful melting pot which is the world. I has been a teacher for quite a few years, both in Shanghai and in Italy, and this is an important aspect of myself: I love to share and communicate. I have also lived in beautiful Florence where I studied art, another great love of my life. Now, as tour guide, I have this amazing privilege to combine my greatest passions, so I can share the enthusiasm for my city with people who, like me, are eager to 'live' another country not as a stranger, to walk in the streets feeling a local, to taste the specialties and going back home with a wonderful experience and, why not, a new friend. What I like most is to personalize every experience for my guests, following their inclinations, their interests and curiosity. So if you're planning to come to Venice, let's get in touch! I'll be delighted to create bespoke tours for you! - Tourist Guide License 4917/2018 (Florence and province) - Professional licensed Tour Leader Licensed guides have no restrictions.

The amazing thing of Venice is that every single corner has its own peculiarity. Castello district is the most local, lived by Venetians and full of charm. Even if it is very close to Saint Mark Square, however this quiet neighbourhood is a real treasure, full of hidden gems. In Castello we will walk together through the centuries and I will shoe you what it feels like being a venetian nowadays and how could have been in the past. This tour, 100% customisable, is perfect for people who wants to see a genuine Venice and to have a different approach to the city.
-Walking in Castello district is a truly amazing experience, far from the busy streets around Saint Mark's square, together we will discover what is like to live like a Venetian. -The tour will start in Saint Mark square, or at your hotel if you're staying in that area, we'll have a nice walk to San Zaccaria church, where at the beginning of the Serenissima, there was a very important convent of Benedictine nuns. -Our relaxed stroll will lead you to a very quiet neighborhood where you can enjoy nice small squares and beautiful churches and cloisters, like the ones of San Francesco della Vigna, where you can have a real feeling of the city. -Meanwhile I will be happy to stop in one of the well know Venetians winebars (bacari) to let you taste some of our local delicious cicchetti (our small bites that usually accompany a glass of wine), you will need some energy to recover from such beauty!! -The tour will end at the Arsenale, the famous venetian shipyard, by the waterbus stop.
