Ciao! I'm Isabella. Welcome to Venice and my ToursByLocals page! I was born in Padua in 1965 but I've lived in Venice for 40 years. I moved to Venice to attend college and settled down. After graduation in Anglo American literature I worked for the International Movie Festival, at the bookstore of Venice Civic Museums and for a while I devoted myself to teaching. In 1998 I approached tourism and got specialized in cruise excursions. A few years later I became a professional guide and decided to customize tours for private clients. I love food and cooking and that's why when touring I always talk about local specialties and culinary traditions. After many years I still get excited about my adoptive city. I'm very happy when I see people enjoying the time together and get dazzled by Venice beauty! Certified professional guide: Italian National Register of Tourist Guides # 08000034 Tour manager license # 591 (Veneto Region) Port Security Pass # 25231 (Venice Port Authority) Education: University Degree in Anglo-American Literature All my tours can be customized: do not hesitate to contact me! Licensed guides have no restrictions. For tours run on the mainland, I apply to professional drivers.

After all the guided tours and museums, it is high time to relax! Keep your last day in Venice to enjoy a boat ride and rest your feet! This tour is a mix of shopping and leisure: the lulling of the water, the smell of bakeries where the most popular biscotti are prepared everyday, the traditional or modern lace and the expensive glass. . . . Venice offers more than the city centre and on this tour I'll take you to the islands located in the North of the Lagoon. Burano was founded before Venice, and even though it took a second place due to the growth of the city, was able to maintain a strong identity and peculiarity. Let's visit the colorful Burano, the gardens of Mazzorbo and a fab glass studios on Murano. By the end of the tour your eyes will be overwhelmed by pictures that will turn on great memories. Do not miss the chance to enjoy a luxury private tour: the best gift for you and your beloved!
-After meeting we board a private boat to cruise the Grand Canal on our way to Burano, a lovely fishing village famous for lace, colorful houses and cookies called Buranelli. Delicious bakeries and gourmet gelaterie make this island enjoyable for everyone. - A nice walk across the village will take us to a nextdoor island called Mazzorbo with its vegetable gardens and a recently restored vineyard. - On Murano we'll see the real artistic glass production in a family-run studio. Option: after the visit to the showrooms you can decide to have lunch on the island and make your way back to town in the afternoon. The tour might follow another order .
