Venice is a city of unmatched beauty but it is also one of the most visited places in the world, how can you make sure to get an authentic experience and a personal sense that will help build your own memory and make your stay truly special? With me of course! First of all as a professional certified guide I can lead you into all the historical buildings like churches, museums and art galleries with no limitations, this means you'll always get reliable and qualified information about all you'll see. Secondly as a local resident who lives and works in central Venice I'll share with you my favourite places in town both 'away from the crowds' but also the sites any first comer expect to see, in all cases I'll provide you the meaning and sense of all what is listed in my tours. My goal is always the same, turn you in my local companion, a person who is ready to be a Venetian for the time he'll be in town, then rely on my expertise for first hand hints regarding our wonderful food&drink, shopping, things to do, events and exhibits plus all 'what's about'. Come with me through large areas of this stunning city void of 'sightseers', get ravished by Venice's matchless beauty as you walk at your own pace, find out that Venice is not just a 'must see' place but a beautiful city with many locations, sites and buildings worth to be seen and appreciated. Be ready to be captivated and follow me! About Me. I was born in Spain from a Spanish mother and an Italian father whose family originated in the Veneto region, my grandpa's sister migrated to the US in the early 20th century where her descendants reached now the 5th generation. I lived in London, Madrid and Rome with my parents but I also travelled a lot with them and my sister because of my dad's job for an airline and to visit my mum's side of the family I also spent many summers in the Spanish region of Galicia. I worked in the tourist business for most of my life, I begun travelling extensively both in Italy and abroad as a tour manager for American and Italian travel companies until 2001 when I settled in Venice and passed my exam to become a certified guide. Love brought me, as it has for so many others, to the most romantic city, my Venetian wife and I both live in a 13th century building located in the very heart of town. NOTICE If you intend to visit Venice in any date from April 1st to October 31st - very high season - please contact me before booking as my availability can change rapidly. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ GUIDE QUALIFICATION Italian National Register of Tourist Guides # 05000020 https://portaleprofessioni.ministeroturismo.gov.it/guide-list EDUCATION Bachelor Degree in ''Art Conservation of Cultural Heritage'' (Venice University)

You can pick this walking tour either as an introduction one or a second tour in town as it covers a broad part of Venice on the right side of the Grand Canal covering the districts of San Polo and Dorsoduro. In San Polo the three most significant places and buildings that we'll see as we walk by are the Rialto area, one of the oldest in town, the second largest open space called campo S. Polo and the very lavish decorated seat of the scuola of san Rocco plus the huge gothic Franciscan church. In Dorsoduro we won't miss campo S. Margherita known for its many bars and restaurants, the ground floor and the gardens of palazzo Rezzonico -the 'ultimate' venetian palace of the 18th. cent. -, the house of the American patron of arts P. Guggenheim and the imposing church of La Salute built over one million wood piles. We'll conclude our tour at the most panoramic point in town called Punta della Salute where the Grand Canal merges with the Giudecca canal creating the vast water basin of St. Mark.
Starting point - Rialto market area and its neighbourhood. - Campo San Polo. - Frari Franciscan church - Seat of the Scuola of San Rocco. - Seat of Venice University (closed on Sundays) - Campo Santa Margherita - Palazzo Rezzonico - ground floor and gardens (closed on Tuesdays) - Giudecca Canal - Accademia bridge - P. Guggenheim's house - Curch of la Salute Ending point - Punta della Dogana viewpoint.
