My name is Cecilia, I was born and raised on the mainland but I have a real strong connection with Venice: my family comes from the Rialto Market area and my great-grandfather owned one of the most prestigious café in St. Mark's Square. After graduating at the University of Venice in Economy and Management of Arts, I've decided to follow my istincts and after few years I got my diploma of sommelier (2008). I've studied (and I currently study!) a lot and I worked in one of the best wine shop of Venice. In 2020 I successfully passed with distinction the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 2. At present I lead wine courses for a few American Military bases in Italy. Licensed tour leader, I love my job because I love Venice, its hints and shapes but, first of all, I strongly believe that the culinary heritage is an essential part of its history. I love to visit the Market and chat with local vendors, taste new wines and share my Passion in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Ready to discover the secrets of Prosecco and to learn about the most authentic venetian recipes while sorrounded by the timeless Beauty of Venice? Italian sommelier diploma (F.I.S.A.R.) Wine & Spirit Education Trust - Level 2 Accompagnatore Turistico (ISCOM. Emilia Romagna - license n. 119 , 13/09/2018) I am not a licensed tour guide and will not be able to guide you inside of museums and historical monuments.

Let me introduce you to the the local culture of "cicchetti", "ombra" and "bacaro"! In a city where art is everywhere and walking around is like traveling through past centuries, indulge yourself in a delicious experience, accompanied by a certified sommelier and passionate food lover. During our relaxed walk we'll visit three different venues to enjoy a cozy atmosphere made of "cicchetti", small bites of food, and local wines. You will learn about the authentic Prosecco, the flavorful "baccalà mantecato" and Spritz of course! This tour is a nice combination of traditional food, curiosity about Venice and its culinary heritage.
- Meet up at a previously agreed location. - After a little walk, we'll stop for a Prosecco and "cicchetti". A good way to understand the difference between Champagne and Prosecco is to taste a very good one, right? - Another little stroll with interesting details about the city to get to another local wine bar for a glass of still white wine like Soave or Lugana and some "cicchetti" again. - Head to a final place after a short walk, to end our experience with a Spritz or a glass of red wine like a fresh young Valpolicella and make our tastebuds happy again with some more food. ** This itinerary can be customized. Feel free to contact me.
