My name is Cecilia, I was born and raised on the mainland but I have a real strong connection with Venice: my family comes from the Rialto Market area and my great-grandfather owned one of the most prestigious café in St. Mark's Square. After graduating at the University of Venice in Economy and Management of Arts, I've decided to follow my istincts and after few years I got my diploma of sommelier (2008). I've studied (and I currently study!) a lot and I worked in one of the best wine shop of Venice. In 2020 I successfully passed with distinction the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 2. At present I lead wine courses for a few American Military bases in Italy. Licensed tour leader, I love my job because I love Venice, its hints and shapes but, first of all, I strongly believe that the culinary heritage is an essential part of its history. I love to visit the Market and chat with local vendors, taste new wines and share my Passion in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Overview of your Venice tour

After a long day of walking around Venice, indulge yourself in a relaxing wine tasting experience! In the cozy atmosphere of a local wine bar, you will learn about local grapes, winemaking techniques and food pairing. Your professional Sommelier will introduce you to four great wines of the Veneto region and north-east of Italy like, for example, the famous sparkling Prosecco and the full bodied red wine from Verona called "Amarone". This experience is not exclusively for expert wine collectors, at all! Don't feel intimidate! It's a very relaxing experience for wine lovers and for people who love to enjoy the local food and wine culture of a place.
