Hello there ! I am Jérémie, full-time tour guide and holder of the professional Tour Guide card. I was born in Lyon in 1990 and I'm still in love with my hometown city. When I was a kid, I spent a lot of time exploring my city, reading stories about it, hearing my grand-mother telling me how the city was when she was my age. That's how you fall in love with a city. When I was 18, I went to University of Lyon to study History. I studied History for five years, lived in Canada for one year, then one year in Australia, came back here, graduated, and became a professional tour guide. Now, I'm working as a full time tour guide in and around my hometown. Best job ever if you ask me, especially when you're passionate about something: telling you all the stories I've learnt that make me think that Lyon and it's surrounding area is the best place in the world. Overview of your Lyon tour
The Old Lyon is one of the biggest renaissance district of the World, now protected by the UNESCO world heritage site. It was the heart of the town in the 16th century. Lyon was on the crossroads of trade between Italy, Spain, Holland and France and the area now known as 'Vieux Lyon' grew up to accommodate the thriving business population. From the Cathedral to the traboules, join me and explore the secret passageways of the old town. Houses were built on four or five floors with interior courtyards and lovely staircases and galeries, many of which show the influence of the Italians. Go beyond the guidebooks and take a walk on a secret side !

It was our first trip to Lyon and we took this tour to understand Vieux Lyon. Jérémie was great and I wish we had taken a longer tour. His English is perfect. The tour was full of history—from the Gauls and Romans up to his relatives' experiences in WWII. Any questions we had he answered thoroughly. Our group of four included two teenage boys who stayed impressively interested (until I asked for very detailed info on a topic or two), and Jeremie's sense of humor helped this. You will not be disappointed!
