To introduce myself I'll start telling you that I am a private guide that makes private tours of Mexico City and surrounding areas. I was born and raised here in Mexico City, I'm a third generation full licensed tour guide, and I consider myself to have been a fortunate kid that could travel from time to time with his father and grandfather (both of them tour guides also) and had the opportunity that my family could show me, besides a deep love to Mexico, places and people that were not easely accessed. So I decided to continue the family's tradition and, I became a Professional General Tour Guide; registered in Mexico's Federal Tourism Secretary and also in Mexico City's Tourism Bureau. Now with 20 years of experience in my bussiness, guiding not only foreign travelers but also mexican travelers in Mexico City too, It's possible for me to design and perform personal or private tours not only in Mexico City but also in it's nearby cities like Puebla, Cuernavaca, Valle de Bravo, or San Miguel de Allende, for mentioning some. All my tours are flexible in all ways, like their duration and can be modified to meet your own personal needs or expectations! I'm looking forward to meet you so I can have the opportunity to show you my amazing Mexico City and my beautiful country. -General Guide License number N04496 and N011424. -Registered in SECTUR (Mexico's Federal Secretary of Tourism). -Registered as bonded guide in the Mexico City Tourism Bureau under registration number 5184. -Diplomae for general guidance certified by IPN School of Tourism. -Basic Mayan epigraphy in ENAH (National School of Anthropology and History). -Recent discoveries at Teotihuacan by SECTUR. -Off the beaten path in the State of Mexico by SECTUR. -The Metropolitan Cathedral (it,s art and treasures)by the Mexico City Archaediocesis. -Mexico City it's economic and historical development from the XVI to the XXI centuries by Mexico City tourism board. Licensed tour guide (N011424) and no restrictions like the non licensed guides. A "guide" has to show you a badge with his name issued by SECTUR (tourism ministry) and wear it always.

The sites are obviously worth the effort. Carlos is very responsive. Accommodates requests and understands logistics well. Only guide to carry water (!). Very knowledgeable and can discuss a variety of topics. Very happy that he helped us.

My group enjoyed a wonderful day in Mexico City with Carlos. He was a wealth of historical knowledge about Mexico, and was able to convey it to us in an interesting way. He moved us around Mexico City in a leisurely way, totally acceptable to questions and suggestions. He was witty and fun. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at one of his favorite restaurants. We spent...

The visit to Teotihuacán itself was incredible—the site is truly impressive and well worth seeing. The tour was organized and we were able to see the main highlights, including the pyramids and the Avenue of the Dead. That said, the guiding experience felt somewhat average. The information provided was helpful but would have been more interesting with some storytelling...

Thank you for visiting Teotihuacán! We're glad the tour was well-organized and that the site impressed you — it tends to speak for itself, which is exactly why our guiding philosophy leans toward depth over performance. Teotihuacán isn't a theme park; it's one of the largest pre-Columbian cities ever built, whose builders we still cannot fully identify. For those looking...
