Overview of your Mexico City tour
This is a visit to two of the most important cities in ancient Mexico, Teotihuacan with it's impressive pyramids of the Sun and the Moon and the pyramid of the Feathered Serpent. Tula the home and origin of the Toltec culture that later will be regarded by the Aztecs as the role model follow by a civilization and home to a ruler that will be identified later as a th god Quetzalcoatl. Tula is also an architectural model for Chichen-Itza in Yucatan mayan peninsula. You will learn connections of different places that you may not have imagined there are!

A true professional guide to the wonder, tragedy, and complexity of these monuments. Carlos can answer any question, whether it's about Mesoamerican history, modern-day perceptions, or which minerals the people used to COLOR THEIR PAINT. He moved us around efficiently but was also patient with all our side-trips and souvenir stops. One of us had mobility issues (difficulty on stairs, needed to walk slowly) and Carlos accommodated them easily. The big climb up the pyramids is optional and they're still amazing without it. There were plenty of stops for water and paletas. Going to Tula adds several hours of driving (Introverts: Carlos was happy to drive in silence while we napped or read), but its civic function is a nice contrast with god-scale Teotithuacan. We took a short nature trail and Carlos taught us about the lifecycle of agave. I highly recommend any tour with Carlos.

The Tula and Teotihuacan tour with Carlos was wonderful. Carlos took us to both places and is very knowledgeable. We went to Teotihuacan first to avoid crowds and then we drove to the National Park of Tula. Tula is not nearly as well known but well worth going to. We are so happy that we booked with Carlos. It was the perfect end to our visit to Mexico. I highly recommend Carlos as a tour guide.

We just returned from a trip that included two very enjoyable days with Carlos. He is very professional, but friendly and easy to interact with. Carlos' english is excellent and his knowledge of local history is unsurpassed. He educated us on the Mesoamerican civilization and how each indigenous or migrating culture influenced societal evolution. In addition to visiting Tula and Teotihuacan, we toured the Mexico City archeological museum and other must-see sites in the city. We highly recommend Carlos.
