To introduce myself I'll start telling you that I am a private guide that makes private tours of Mexico City and surrounding areas. I was born and raised here in Mexico City, I'm a third generation full licensed tour guide, and I consider myself to have been a fortunate kid that could travel from time to time with his father and grandfather (both of them tour guides also) and had the opportunity that my family could show me, besides a deep love to Mexico, places and people that were not easely accessed. So I decided to continue the family's tradition and, I became a Professional General Tour Guide; registered in Mexico's Federal Tourism Secretary and also in Mexico City's Tourism Bureau. Now with 20 years of experience in my bussiness, guiding not only foreign travelers but also mexican travelers in Mexico City too, It's possible for me to design and perform personal or private tours not only in Mexico City but also in it's nearby cities like Puebla, Cuernavaca, Valle de Bravo, or San Miguel de Allende, for mentioning some. All my tours are flexible in all ways, like their duration and can be modified to meet your own personal needs or expectations! I'm looking forward to meet you so I can have the opportunity to show you my amazing Mexico City and my beautiful country. -General Guide License number N04496 and N011424. -Registered in SECTUR (Mexico's Federal Secretary of Tourism). -Registered as bonded guide in the Mexico City Tourism Bureau under registration number 5184. -Diplomae for general guidance certified by IPN School of Tourism. -Basic Mayan epigraphy in ENAH (National School of Anthropology and History). -Recent discoveries at Teotihuacan by SECTUR. -Off the beaten path in the State of Mexico by SECTUR. -The Metropolitan Cathedral (it,s art and treasures)by the Mexico City Archaediocesis. -Mexico City it's economic and historical development from the XVI to the XXI centuries by Mexico City tourism board. Licensed tour guide (N011424) and no restrictions like the non licensed guides. A "guide" has to show you a badge with his name issued by SECTUR (tourism ministry) and wear it always.

Overview of your Mexico City tour

We'll get to Cholula the oldest city in the continent where I can show you the largest pyramid in the central plains of Mexico and get to see a talavera factory using techniques and materials only available in Puebla. In Puebla we'll have a taste of the local food that's recognized internationally and the feeling of downtown will be shocking to you since it will feel as walking through a European city.

This tour with Carlos was great. His knowledge of the history both before and after the conquest was most impressive and we learned a great deal. The tour of Puebla was wonderful. We were particularly impressed by the cardinal's library and by the museum, places we would probably not have found had we visited without a guide. Carlos seemed genuinely pleased to be able to show us Peubla and our time extended beyond our expectation, for which we were grateful.

Carlos showed us the ruins in Cholula first and then we headed to Puebla city to see magnificent churches and the oldest public library in America, it was amazing. We love the trip very much and appreciate Carlos for his knowledge and service, which made the experience unforgettable.

Carlos is well-spoken with extensive knowledge of the Cholula/Puebla area. We found the visit to the pyramid in Cholula fascinating. After seeing the pyramids of Teotihuacan from above ground, to be able to wander through the interior of ancient pyramids was quite an experience! We especially enjoyed our experience in Puebla. Although the Museo Amparo was closed this particular Saturday, Carlos more than made up for it with other sites and he indulged our desire to shop for Talavera pottery.

We cannot say enough good things about our fabulous experience with Carlos in our tour of the Cholula Pyramid and Puebla. He was extremely knowledgeable and able to answer all of our questions, even those not directly related to the specific sites we toured. We learned so much history and culture of Mexico from him. He made sure that we got to experience what we wanted to see and learn. We would definitely engage him again on a future trip to Mexico City.

Carlos is simply a perfect guide! He is knowledgeable, thoughtful, easy to communicate, ready to discuss any topic and answer any question. He is very flexible, seamlessly adjusting his tour to your needs, interests and pace. You just get the best of your trip with Carlos. We had spent two and a half days with him and would love to spend more if we could. Thank you, Carlos!!!

Carlos is an excellent and informative guide and we would have no hesitation in using his services again. He is extremely knowledgable on Aztec history and architecture and we would not have learnt so much without him. Highly recommended!
