Hi there, I'm Holly and I am a Brit living in the Netherlands, six years ago I moved to study my Masters in Museum Studies at the University of Amsterdam, found the love of my life and decided to stick around. After graduating in 2020, I began guiding 3 years ago, I have always loved history and dreamed of being a history teacher when I was young. Now I get to be a mobile history teacher through tour guiding and I love showing visitors around my favourite places in Amsterdam and its surrounds. My background in museum studies brings a different perspective to museum tours, and I draw on my partner's family's experience during the Second World War to bring that period of history to life when giving Jewish Quarter tours. I'm also a foodie and love to share Dutch food with curious visitors who may not have experienced Dutch food before. My tours are customizable and adaptable, and I'm more than happy to discuss your wishes to create the best tour for you. Prior to moving to the Netherlands I backpacked around Australia for 2 years, so I'm quite adventorous and happy to meet new people from all over the world! I hope I will get to show you around Amsterdam sometime soon!

Explore the life of Vincent Van Gogh and witness his struggles and triumphs through his art. How is it that a man who created 900 paintings, 1,000 drawings, and sold only 1 artwork in his life, is now the focus of one of Europe's most popular museums? Over the course of 2 hours I will lead you through the permanent collection of the Van Gogh Museum, and give you insight into the family dynamics and artistic movements that paved the way for Van Gogh's career to begin. Continuing into through the galleries, we see the artist begin to flourish! As we explore the highlights of the largest collection of Van Gogh paintings in the world, I will reveal how Van Gogh went on to be the revered artist he is today. This tour is available for groups of up to 5 people, current tour price is for 2, so additional pax subject to additional charge.
Private Guided tour through the permanent collection, and the opportunity to stay on at the Van Gogh Museum after the tour to explore the temporary exhibitions.
