Hans created a wonderful countryside experience for me and my husband. We toured the Keukenhof Gardens. (peak season is April, check with your guide) I highly recommend it! Hans was responsive with emails upfront, offered good suggestions when we were trying to plan. He was right on time to pick us up at the hotel. We enjoyed lunch at a wonderful organic farm (our favorite lunch while in Amsterdam) and also a tour of a family owned cheese making farm and a windmill. The windmill is privately owned and was really fascinating. Highly recommend visiting a Windmill. Everything he chose was with small privately owned family businesses, so very authentic. The countryside is really beautiful. We enjoyed the entire day. Hans was interesting, knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the Amsterdam people and the countryside. The green meadows with cows and above it the Dutch blue skies with some clouds. Just like a 17th-century Dutch painting. In springtime decorated with the most amazing colors of blooming flower fields, yellow daffodils, red tulips, white fragrant hyacinth fields. It's a beautiful scenery that you can't see anywhere else. Place a few windmills there and you have the perfect Dutch landscape. To make sure people can still fall in love with the Dutch countryside in the future, I offer my tours sustainably. We travel off the trotted (and often harmful) tourist paths, try to reduce CO2 and when not possible compensate the emissions. Hans is an excellent guide. Very informative. Gave us sufficient time in the tulip gardens and made sure we saw the best parts. We also enjoyed the windmills. The lunch at a local restaurant was wonderful. His English was very fluent and his teacher skills shined through.
Hans was a fabulous tour guide. We saw some wonderful Windmills---his knowledge about Windmills was amazing and so interesting. He drove though some beautiful countryside to an amazing local restaurant that was in the middle of an orchard...the local food was delicious and we enjoyed some local beer. We then visited Keukenhof Gardens which he had planned with perfect timing so that we arrived earlier than many people and it only felt a bit crowded toward the end of our tour. A GREAT DAY!!
Hans provided a wonderful tour of the Dutch countryside & Keukenhof Gardens. Our group of ten enjoyed every moment. Hans has great sense of humor and he made the Holland countryside come alive. He provided an amazing visit to a Dutch farm, windmills, and a private lunch of endless farm sandwiches and juices.
