Hi there! I might be new to Tours by Locals, but I'm not new to guiding. Since 2017 I have been working as a freelance tour guide. I have extensive experience guiding all ages. I am also a Dutch multi-disciplinary artist (since 2004) and electronic musician. And I have a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art and in Arts and Design Education. I also have extensive experience in teaching students aged 5 - 95 in all various aspects of art, and have run media workshops, art critique courses and motion graphic studies. Due to my diverse background I'm incredibly fascinated by the city's wealth of stories, from art to (Jewish) history and colonial heritage which I'm keen to share. My tours are lively, in-depth and delivered with a sense of humor. I love connecting the dots and interacting with curious travellers. In my free time I love to make CG-based art and music, touring through Europe as a DJ or reading up on my favourite subjects like art-history, Amsterdam (colonial history) , sociology, esoteric philosophies and psychology. All my tours can be customised and in case of the need for entry tickets will have to be customized. Please do not hesitate to contact me and ask. Due to the busy season just starting, it can take me a bit longer to get back to you, but know you're on my mind. :) Looking forward to meeting you!

Amsterdam is a vibrant international city, home to over 176 nationalities, and this rich diversity is beautifully reflected in its bustling markets. A stroll through these markets offers a feast for the senses, with a wide variety of flavors and cuisines to explore. Whether you're in search of local delicacies or international fare, you'll find plenty to satisfy your appetite. Join me as we wander through some of Amsterdam's most popular markets. There's a wide array of fresh, organic produce at the Noordermarkt. Or head to the Ten Kate market ( and the adjacent de Hallen) for a taste of the world. Want to stay out doors and shop for presents while you're at it? For the best of both local and international flavors, don't miss the Albert Cuyp market, Europe's largest street market. With such a variety of offerings, there's something to delight every palate. I can customize this tour according to your requests, please don't hesitate to ask. This is a walking tour.
Meet your guide at the Ten Kate markt, Noordermarkt or Albert Cuypmarket. Visit one of these markets and hear about the stories of the food and the vendors. Experience the global community and their food.
