Easy going private Holland tours by van (max 7 passengers). My main interest is to give you a wider view of Holland than that of only tulips, clogs and cheese. As an independent guide, I do not come with any kind of 'must-see' plan. Of course, it is important to have knowledge about the culture, the museums and history, but I prefer to show my visitors how the Dutch live. The nicest comment I ever had about my tours was that it felt like having a friend taking you sightseeing. My tours have been awarded with a 'Certificate of Excellence'. Education - Academy of visual arts, St Joost, Breda, Netherlands Master's Degree, Visual and Performing Arts - Hochschule der Künste HdK Berlin Fachbereich 4 Visuelle Kommunikation Experience - Photographer at Shell Research Amsterdam. - DTP for advertising agencies and Reed Elsevier. - Tourist Guide Lovers Canal Cruise Company - Tour Guide Driver Great Amsterdam Excursions Company - Tour Guide Driver Holland Private Tours Languages: English, German, Spanish Special interest: Poetry and flowers. During my Holland and Belgium tour we will visit the highlights of both countries. Therefore we decided to spent an overnight in Bruges or Ghent. We will see the highlights during the calm hours and avoid the crowds! Amsterdam, the Hague, Delft and the hidden gems of the countryside. In the Hague we visit all the highlights, like the the Houses of Parliament, the International Court of Justice and Mauritshuis. In Delft there is much to see of historical interest. A visit to the authentic Delft Blue pottery studios is optional. No Holland tour without seeing the typical Dutch traditional country side with windmills, cheese farms and picturesque villages of Holland's 'green heart' or Kinderdijk. To Belgium we will cross the province of Zeeland, mainly farmland on reclaimed land and the Delta watermanagement projects. Bruges still saved its medieval look. Ghent is a city undiscovered by tourists. We will cover these places by foot. If interested a visit to the WW 1 & 2 memorials or Antwerp is optional.
- The highlights of the Hague, Delft and Rotterdam. - Zeeland province: Holland's most productive farming region. - The massive surge barriers of the Delta works: one of the seven wonders of the modern world of engineering. - Bruges, 'Venice of the North', is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. We will do a orientational walking tour of one hour. - Ghent: historic buildings, monuments and art treasures. - World War one and two memorials and battle fields are optional. - A short visit to the diamond city of Antwerp is optional. - An early visit to the Aalsmeer flower auction during week days is optional. My tours are flexible and it is always possible to make some changes in the itinerary. We want to see as much as possible in a short time.

For the tours I have a luxury and spacious VW T5 available, with big panoramic windows. The van has big and wide doors to make it easy to get in and out. Because of the Dutch climate it has a well fuctioning heating system. And of course an air con system is integrated. My van has a baggage capacity for a standard suitcase per person plus a carry-on bag. If you are planning to take extra baggage, I can organize an additional car.
