Hi there! I might be new to Tours by Locals, but I'm not new to guiding. Since 2017 I have been working as a freelance tour guide. I have extensive experience guiding all ages. I am also a Dutch multi-disciplinary artist (since 2004) and electronic musician. And I have a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art and in Arts and Design Education. I also have extensive experience in teaching students aged 5 - 95 in all various aspects of art, and have run media workshops, art critique courses and motion graphic studies. Due to my diverse background I'm incredibly fascinated by the city's wealth of stories, from art to (Jewish) history and colonial heritage which I'm keen to share. My tours are lively, in-depth and delivered with a sense of humor. I love connecting the dots and interacting with curious travellers. In my free time I love to make CG-based art and music, touring through Europe as a DJ or reading up on my favourite subjects like art-history, Amsterdam (colonial history) , sociology, esoteric philosophies and psychology. All my tours can be customised and in case of the need for entry tickets will have to be customized. Please do not hesitate to contact me and ask. Due to the busy season just starting, it can take me a bit longer to get back to you, but know you're on my mind. :) Looking forward to meeting you!

Join me on a captivating 3-hour walking tour of Amsterdam that seamlessly blends its rich history with its vibrant present. Beginning at the St Nicholas Basilica opposite the iconic Amsterdam Central Station, a Neo-Gothic marvel. Stroll down picturesque alleyways, the Nieuwmarkt, past the Old church and former VOC Headquarters to Dam Square, where the Royal Palace and National Monument stand as testaments to the Dutch Golden Age and post-WWII resilience. Wandering through the lively Jordaan neighborhood, where the former working-class neighborhood from 17th-century buildings house trendy boutiques and art galleries. Walk to the bustling Nine Streets, a haven for on-trend shoppers amid quaint historic architecture. Discover the serene Begijnhof, a hidden medieval courtyard & the floating Bloemenmarkt (flower market). Conclude at Muntplein, where the name sake of the city makes its’ final bend. This tour is perfect for open-minded enthusiasts of architecture, history, and contemporary urban life.
Meet up at St Nicholas basilica (opposite to Central station) - Schreierstoren - Zeedijk - Hidden church and Oude Kerk - De Waeg/ Nieuwmarkt - Jewish district : Rembrandthuis & Waterlooplein - If open VOC HQ - Begijnhof / Spui - Dam Square /Palace/Nieuwe Kerk - Jordaan: the tour ends here.
