Hi there, I'm Holly and I am a Brit living in the Netherlands, six years ago I moved to study my Masters in Museum Studies at the University of Amsterdam, found the love of my life and decided to stick around. After graduating in 2020, I began guiding 3 years ago, I have always loved history and dreamed of being a history teacher when I was young. Now I get to be a mobile history teacher through tour guiding and I love showing visitors around my favourite places in Amsterdam and its surrounds. My background in museum studies brings a different perspective to museum tours, and I draw on my partner's family's experience during the Second World War to bring that period of history to life when giving Jewish Quarter tours. I'm also a foodie and love to share Dutch food with curious visitors who may not have experienced Dutch food before. My tours are customizable and adaptable, and I'm more than happy to discuss your wishes to create the best tour for you. Prior to moving to the Netherlands I backpacked around Australia for 2 years, so I'm quite adventorous and happy to meet new people from all over the world! I hope I will get to show you around Amsterdam sometime soon!

Explore the highlights of the Rijksmuseum with me. Drawing on my Masters in Museum Studies, I will show the best the Rijksmuseum has to offer! On this two hour tour I will show you the best of the Rijksmuseum’s collection, whilst also telling you how the museum is work of art itself. Over the course of two hours learn all about the establishment of the so-called ‘Golden Age’ the Dutch experienced in the 17th century, how the Nightwatch may have cost Rembrandt his reputation, and why Vermeer only produced 37 paintings! Finish your tour with a glimpse of a painting Vincent Van Gogh made mere hours before his first visit to the majestic Rijksmuseum. For the art lovers this tour can be adapted, or extended. Please send me a message, and I will be more than happy to create your ideal tour. Rijksmuseum tickets not included in tour price, and must be purchased from: www.rijksmuseum.nl/tickets Adult entry is €25,00.
