Visit the lovely harbour of Hoorn which was once a prosperous city during the Golden age and you witness the same in every step you take, at the city centre. Enkhuizen is a historic city located on what was before the Zuider Zee. The city is full of history and home to over 300 national monuments. The iconic city gate, the city hall and the famous Pepper House which was used by The Dutch East Indies to store pepper in the golden age. Zuiderzee museum - Welcome to one of the finest museums in The Netherlands, the museum is both an outdoor and an indoor museum that showcases the life of people who lived in what was once the Zuider Zee ( Southern Sea).
