Easy going private Holland tours by van (max 7 passengers). My main interest is to give you a wider view of Holland than that of only tulips, clogs and cheese. As an independent guide, I do not come with any kind of 'must-see' plan. Of course, it is important to have knowledge about the culture, the museums and history, but I prefer to show my visitors how the Dutch live. The nicest comment I ever had about my tours was that it felt like having a friend taking you sightseeing. My tours have been awarded with a 'Certificate of Excellence'. Delft with it's elegant centuries-old canals. The superb 15th century city hall, the 'Old Church' and 'New Church' are also considered Dutch masterpieces. A must-do may be a visit to Royal Delft, Holland's blue-and-white Delft pottery, the last remaining earthenware factory from the Golden Age of the Netherlands. The Hague is cosmopolitan. It is the Netherlands' seat of government, the Royal Family and many United Nations institutions. We will stroll around at the 'Binnenhof', the 'Hall of Knights and the 'Peace Palace'. More Dutch masterpieces to see at the Royal Collection of Paintings at the 'Mauritshuis': Vermeers and Rembrandts. The area in between of Amsterdam, the Hague, Delft and Rotterdam is named 'the Green Heart of Holland'. Neat green fields grazed by black and white cows, windmills and cheese farms. Of course we can do the the tour in combination with: - An overview and orientation of Amsterdam. - Sightseeing the beautiful countryside of Holland. - Experiencing the typical Dutch traditional life
Hans was a fantastic guide during our tour of The Hague, Delft, Haarlem and the Holland countryside. We saw all of the key sites as well as several hidden gems as of this beautiful country as we toured in his luxury van. Hans provided excellent historical context as well as anecdotes about The Netherlands and lesser-known facts. Hans has amazing knowledge of the country and delivered an absolutely wonderful day! We had a wonderful tour with Hans. He took us all over the countryside outside of Amsterdam. We visited old windmills, a dairy farm and cheese factory, many little beautiful villages and ended up in walking the streets of Amsterdam. His car was roomy and comfortable. Hans was very knowledgeable and personable and the 4 of us really enjoyed our tour.
Hans was the perfect guide for our group of 6. He gave a relaxed, interesting, informative, helpful and fun tour which is exactly what we wanted. All while being flexible. Adding an extra stop at Kastel De Haar when we had some unexpected extra time. We loved every minute of our time with him.
Hans gave my wife and me a delightful tour of Den Haag from Amsterdam. His minivan was comfortable and we stopped to walk at the most important and interesting sites. The Panaroma of Mesdag was particularly impressive. Unfortunately, climate change protesters were blocking the highway from Den Haag to Delft, so we had to abort that portion of the tour, but in lieu of Delft Hans took us to see some traditional windmills and to a lovely waterside village north of Amsterdam. We ss highly recommend Hans.
Hans picked up our group of 5 at our AMS airport hotel in his spacious and comfortable van. Hans showed us sights within Amsterdam and took us to the Rijkmuseum to view the amazing Dutch Masters. We continued to the Louwen Automobile Museum (where we also had a nice lunch in their unique cafe) and then the Maurishuis Museum (in The Hague) where we saw Vermeer's Girl with the Pearl Earring and other Dutch Masters, and finallythe Royal Delft Porcelain factory (in Delft) before returning to our hotel.
During our tour of the Dutch countryside Hans proved himself professional, punctual and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

For the tours I have a luxury and spacious VW T5 available, with big panoramic windows. The van has big and wide doors to make it easy to get in and out. Because of the Dutch climate it has a well fuctioning heating system. And of course an air con system is integrated. My van has a baggage capacity for a standard suitcase per person plus a carry-on bag. If you are planning to take extra baggage, I can organize an additional car.
