Hello everybody, I'm Gaia . My name means happy and actually I'm very happy because I do the most beautiful job in the world: I'm a tour guide! I have a deep passion for art and in particular for painting. After classical/art studies I graduated in Law. But culture and history remained my passion. Thanks to my parents I had a childhood immersed in the history of art, from the ancient Roman and Greek myths to the contemporary and modern art. This upbringing has transformed me in a guide specialized in museum. To guarantee you a high-quality service I decided to follow a course to become an official guide in The Netherlands and I'm proud to be a member of this association. During my study I could deepen my knowledge of subjects such art, history and the famous water management. I'm a big fan of the famous Golden Age period and the many things that developed during that time: the 17th century. In particular, the beautiful paintings by Rembrandt and other great artists which are a true highlight. I love to show people around and to let them fall in love with Amsterdam and the the other wonderful places in The Netherlands. But my opinion is that a tour is not only share knowledge about history, art and coulture but create a meaningful and personal experience. I love to build a genuine connection with travellers! I love to create memorable experiences for everyone involved in a tour: also for kids and teenagers to whom I feel particulary connected sharing with them my enthusiasm in a light-hearted way. I'm particulary suitable for group of friends, family tours but also for travellers with particulars need and attention as people with limited mobility. I have experience of touring with wheelchair users both in Amsterdam and its most popular museum. -Licensed guide: member of official guide organization in The Netherlands. -Diploma after a course by institute Roc in Amsterdam to become guide in The Netherland. -Museum guide -Municipality license to guide in the city center of Amsterdam -Licensed Journalist in Italy -Bachelor diploma degree in Law. -Driving license I do not have any restrictions in regard to my guiding, I can offer a full range of experiences

This is not just a museum it's much much more: it's a temple of art and history! And you never fully understand Amsterdam and the Netherlands if you don't visit the Rijksmuseum, the national museum. The building itself is a piece of art with an intriguing mix of ancient and modern. Amsterdam's icon, is the only museum in the world that has a bike lane going through it. This museum, known to everyone simply as the Rijks (Rijks is Dutch means national) is huge and has wonderful paintings and objects on display. I will be happy to guide you and help you discover the all the secrets of this wonderful place and give you the same emotions that I felt the first time I entered here. And every time there is something nes, somthing special to discover. Because it's not just about to look to a painting a describe it. It's about to enter and live the fascinating history of this century. To feel for a bit like you also lived in the XVII century. My mission is to make you love this place as much I do!
-In the Rijksmuseum there is a place that we absolutely can't miss during our visit: the second floor where you can see the so-called gallery of honor. It's here that they display the most important paintings of the Golden Age, the century in which the Netherlands, thanks to the East India Company, bloomed in every sector, above all in art. It's the time of Vermeer, Frans Hals, and of course Rembrandt. -After that we will go for a 1-hour walking tour in the unique museum district of Amsterdam, an exclusive lively neighbourhood and a must-see part of the city of Amsterdam. Among the others we will seen -the Canal Ring (Unesco World Eritage site) -the Flower Market -'secret' cortyard of the City Also, I can customize this tour for you and I will be able to pick you up at your hotel in Amsterdam or at a rail station or by cruise ship port of Amsterdam (PTA).
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
