A tour specially designed for a perfect family outing. This tour offers a perfect mix of sites and activities suitable for both adults and kids. From medieval castles to windmills, the tour is designed based on my personal experience as a parent. The sites are not located that far, so the kids won't be spending a lot of time in the car.
Your Amsterdam tour itinerary
You will be picked up from your hotel. We drive to Zaanse Schans ( 25 minutes). Zaanse Schans is located about 30 minutes from Amsterdam. The best way to explain Zaanse Schans is that it is an open-air museum showcasing the Zaan region's rich heritage. You get to explore the windmills ( even climb them), wooden shoe making, and cheese making. Importantly the place has a rural setting with beautiful photo opportunities. Pancake stop for lunch: We will head to an authentic pancake restaurant for lunch. After lunch, we will drive to Muiderslot Castle ( about 30 minutes). Muiderslot Castle is every kid's dream come true. It is an original castle from the 13th century. You get to see the Moat, Drawbridge, Steep stairs, and even a dungeon.
