Hi there! I might be new to Tours by Locals, but I'm not new to guiding. Since 2017 I have been working as a freelance tour guide. I have extensive experience guiding all ages. I am also a Dutch multi-disciplinary artist (since 2004) and electronic musician. And I have a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art and in Arts and Design Education. I also have extensive experience in teaching students aged 5 - 95 in all various aspects of art, and have run media workshops, art critique courses and motion graphic studies. Due to my diverse background I'm incredibly fascinated by the city's wealth of stories, from art to (Jewish) history and colonial heritage which I'm keen to share. My tours are lively, in-depth and delivered with a sense of humor. I love connecting the dots and interacting with curious travellers. In my free time I love to make CG-based art and music, touring through Europe as a DJ or reading up on my favourite subjects like art-history, Amsterdam (colonial history) , sociology, esoteric philosophies and psychology. All my tours can be customised and in case of the need for entry tickets will have to be customized. Please do not hesitate to contact me and ask. Due to the busy season just starting, it can take me a bit longer to get back to you, but know you're on my mind. :) Looking forward to meeting you!

Please Contact me before you book, I will need to verify the time slot availability for both museums first. See all the Rembrandt paintings on display in the Rijksmuseum, flanked by works of his peers, students and contemporaries in 2 hours, followed by a quick snack break. Continue the story with a 2 hour walking tour highlighting Rembrandts' life in 17th century Amsterdam, finishing in a visit of the masters' former house. Marvel at the time capsule style furnishing and more of the beautiful works inside as well as most of his etchings. This tour totals 4,5 hours. Due to the small nature of the Rembrandthuis, group size will be limited to 4 people. It is advised for visitors to wear comfortable shoes and be ok with climbing stairs, as true to the historical nature of the house, there are no elevators in the old part of the Rembrandthouse.
Meet at the Cobra Cafe, facing the Rijksmuseum. - coat check - go to the 2nd floor - discuss all the Rembrandt paintings on display - 30 minute break for a snack - walking tour to Rembrandt house - coat check - tour Rembrandthouse - thanks & goodbye
