Explore Sumida River and its park to take photos at a must have Instagram-able spot. Meiji Shrine (明治神宮, Meiji Jingū) is a shrine dedicated to the deified spirits of Emperor Meiji and his consort, Empress Shoken. The shrine was completed and dedicated to the Emperor Meiji and the Empress. Harajuku is well-known as a center of Japanese youth culture and fashion. Shopping and dining options include many small, youth-oriented boutiques and cafes. Harajuku also houses many smaller backstreets such Takeshita Street and Cat Street. In the first days of the New Year, the shrine regularly welcomes more than three million visitors for the year's first prayers (hatsumode), more than any other shrine or temple in the country. - Harajuku also houses many smaller backstreets such as Takeshita Street and Cat Street. Have fun in the dog/cat/owl cafes. Visit the Shibuya's iconic crossing and Hachiko statue.
