Hi, I'm Carlos, nice to meet you! Graduated in business administration, but always a lover of tourism, I started my professional life around 20 years ago working in hotels, restaurants and events, before developing my career as a Tour Guide. I lived in the United States, where I finished my final year of High School, and also in Europe, where I studied in France and Germany. I love traveling and discovering new cultures and I am equally passionate about my homeland, Salvador, a vibrant city with a fascinating mix of indigenous, European and African cultures. I love researching our rich history and culture and sharing it with our visitors. I am available to provide you with an excellent experience in Salvador and in the beautiful tourist regions of our state. Welcome to Bahia! And remember, all my tours can be customized upon request. Credencial for guiding localy in Bahia state, as well as Brazil and South America None

We will start this incredible experience driving to Rio Vermelho, Salvador’s most bohemian neighborhood, where the traditional Festa de Iemanjá takes place every year. We will visit the fishermen’s colony and the Casa de Iemanjá (the House of Iemanjá) and learn about their offerings, which so well reflect Bahia’s religious syncretism. We will continue our tour heading to the bustling São Joaquim Market, a street Market that awaits us with its vibrant colors and intense smells. We will learn about palm oil, coconut milk, cassava flour and the many kinds of peppers used in Bahian cuisine. We will take a stroll through the Gamboa Community and enjoy some of Salvador’s spectacular popular street art. We will now enjoying a typical Bahian lunch (not included) by the seaside. The community is next to the Museum of Modern Art, which is housed in a 17th-century mansion by the All Saints Bay. Return back to hotel.
