This full day adventure will allow you to enjoy both the magnificent panoramic views Salvador offers, as well as discover its rich history, extraordinary architecture, and dynamic culture and all of it in one day! So if you are here for a short period I definetly suggest to take it because its a mixture of history, at, food and spectacular views. We will explore the city from different angles, discovering the Lower City, with its bucolic atmosphere and the Upper City - the cradle of our city's history. As a passionate for Salvador and its african influence, we will always take the less travelled road, either to taste local street food or to visit hidden places that only locals knows and that you cannot miss while here if you want to discover the real soul of Brazil. With my experience (since 2000 working with customized itineraries) and enthusiasm I can provide you the best tour ever and show you the city through the eyes of a "porteña" living here since 1993 and we will definetly have a blast!
. We will start our tour in the Lighthouse of Barra with an incredible view of the Bay of All Saints, Itaparica Island and the Atlantic Ocean. . Along the 7th of September Avenue we will go up Ladeira da Barra and stop for a surprising view where you will feel the contrasts of Salvador. . Victoria Corridor, Campo Grande Square and Piedade neighbourhoods. . Driving along the old financial district we are now heading to the Lower City to visit Bonfim Church with the colorful ribbons that represents the faith of the baian people. . Stop at Ponta do Humaitá, Monteserrat Fort and enjoy a great view of the old city from here. . Back to the car to drive to Dique de Tororo to see the scultures of the orixas (african deities) of the candomble and a panoramic view of the soccer stadium, Arena Fontenova. . Time to jump off the car and take Lacerda Elevator into Pelourinho, where we will visit the Cathedral and Saint Francis Church and we will stroll along the alleys and squares to engage with the local culture.
