HAPPY 2024 and Welcome to Bahia, land of happiness ("terra da felicidade") - Travellers from USA, Canada and Australia please check the updates about Visas to visit Brazil from April 2024 and on! I am a "Soteropolitana" (born in Salvador, Bahia), Blasian (Brazilian Black Asian) and tour guide. I truly love my job: creating new possibilities to visit my hometown and State of Bahia (Cachoeira, Morro de São Paulo, Boipeba, Praia do Forte, etc). In 2020, with the virtual tours, I have learned new way of working - now it is possible to visit Brazil, without leaving your house. I have done tours for students, families, group of friends and seniors from township and I am really grateful. I love my virtual tours, specially the Live Streamed Tours from the Old Town and Musical Experience in Black Rome - check it!!! My experience travelling in Brazil and Abroad, Literature, Music and Gastronomy (coordinator of "comida di buteco" in Salvador - food festival) inspire me a lot to do different tours around Salvador/Bahia. Salvador is the afro-city in Brazil and a place to come if you want to feel Brazilian atmosphere and culture! In my tours we will always support small local business and with a balance to the top attractions in town. If you want, I can also send you my own "guide book" of Salvador, with options of things to do and see in Salvador. TRY TO BOOK IN ADVANCE, SO I CAN HELP YOU PLANNING YOUR VACATION IN BAHIA. PLEASE SEND A MESSAGE FOR MORE INFO EVEN IF THE CALENDAR SHOWS THAT I AM NOT AVAILABLE. SOMETIMES I MIGHT HAVE HALF DAY FREE AND ABLE TO DO TOURS DURING THE DAY OR BY NIGHTS. Join the tours and see Salvador with a soteropolitano - a real local from Bahia! Highly suggest to try my exclusive by night, and see our nightlife as a "Sotero" and the "Afro Heritage Tou"r - Salvador is the most African city in Brazil! Cheers, Sayuri "Minha vida é andar por este país Pra ver se um dia descanso feliz Guardando as recordações Das terras onde passei Andando pelos sertões E dos amigos que lá deixei. . " (A Vida do Viajante, Luiz Gonzaga) Former Lawyer (Universidade Mackenzie - Sao Paulo), Tour Guide (National and South America - SENAC Bahia 2011/2014) and Graduated Literature/English at Universidade Federal da Bahia (2018) I have got my licence of Embratur/Ministerio Turismo.

Carnival is our most famous season. I was born in March and my mother always says that I was almost born in the middle of Carnaval in 1975. Since that I have been enjoying Carnival in Bahia - you are in "good hands", if you book this tour!! Consider also booking the Pre-Consulting Tour, before booking tickets and accomodation. Next Season (* In Bahia, Carnival starts on Wed and finishes on Tuesday) 2024 - February 7th (Wed) - 14h 2025 - February 26th - March 4th 2026 - February 11th - 17th In Bahia our carnival is different, it is a street carnival, no SambaDrome and some "blocos" are VIP Areas in Bahia. I recommend to check the Blocos Afro (Afro Groups of Percussion, such as Olodum and Ile Aye). This tour will offer you an overview of the city and also a Carnival Experience (Barra or Pelourinho, depending on the day). For Barra experience, we will need a car and driver. Come and book the Carnaval Tour!
The itinerary can be adapted to traveller's interests: do not hesitate to contact me for a customized experience. Usually we visit Itapagipe (Panoramic View of Salvador) and Pelourinho in the morning for the walking tour (historical tour) and afternoon for the carnaval experience. Depending on the time that we start the tour, it is also possible to include to visit Rio Vermelho area or panoramic driving in Barra (due to traffic conditions). (*) To include Barra in the Carnaval - ask for extra costs Museums will probably be close but it is possible to visit some churches depending on the time/day that we start the tours!! Customize your carnaval Experience!! My suggestions for your carnival: Wednesday and Thursday - choose a nice bloco and let's enjoy the street carnaval. Friday - See Olodum Special Day in Pelourinho (afternoon) Saturday - Feel the atmosphere of Ile Ayie (evening) Sunday - Filhos de Gandhy (afternoon) Monday - Morning in a Local Area - Mudanca do Garcia (morning

Private Sedan Car - FIAT Cronos 2023. For bigger groups (more them 3, we can adjust the vehicle and transportation for a Sprinter Van) If you want we can add a extra cost for a private driver - I recommend if you have low mobility in town.
