HAPPY 2024 and Welcome to Bahia, land of happiness ("terra da felicidade") - Travellers from USA, Canada and Australia please check the updates about Visas to visit Brazil from April 2024 and on! I am a "Soteropolitana" (born in Salvador, Bahia), Blasian (Brazilian Black Asian) and tour guide. I truly love my job: creating new possibilities to visit my hometown and State of Bahia (Cachoeira, Morro de São Paulo, Boipeba, Praia do Forte, etc). In 2020, with the virtual tours, I have learned new way of working - now it is possible to visit Brazil, without leaving your house. I have done tours for students, families, group of friends and seniors from township and I am really grateful. I love my virtual tours, specially the Live Streamed Tours from the Old Town and Musical Experience in Black Rome - check it!!! My experience travelling in Brazil and Abroad, Literature, Music and Gastronomy (coordinator of "comida di buteco" in Salvador - food festival) inspire me a lot to do different tours around Salvador/Bahia. Salvador is the afro-city in Brazil and a place to come if you want to feel Brazilian atmosphere and culture! In my tours we will always support small local business and with a balance to the top attractions in town. If you want, I can also send you my own "guide book" of Salvador, with options of things to do and see in Salvador. TRY TO BOOK IN ADVANCE, SO I CAN HELP YOU PLANNING YOUR VACATION IN BAHIA. PLEASE SEND A MESSAGE FOR MORE INFO EVEN IF THE CALENDAR SHOWS THAT I AM NOT AVAILABLE. SOMETIMES I MIGHT HAVE HALF DAY FREE AND ABLE TO DO TOURS DURING THE DAY OR BY NIGHTS. Join the tours and see Salvador with a soteropolitano - a real local from Bahia! Highly suggest to try my exclusive by night, and see our nightlife as a "Sotero" and the "Afro Heritage Tou"r - Salvador is the most African city in Brazil! Cheers, Sayuri "Minha vida é andar por este país Pra ver se um dia descanso feliz Guardando as recordações Das terras onde passei Andando pelos sertões E dos amigos que lá deixei. . " (A Vida do Viajante, Luiz Gonzaga) Former Lawyer (Universidade Mackenzie - Sao Paulo), Tour Guide (National and South America - SENAC Bahia 2011/2014) and Graduated Literature/English at Universidade Federal da Bahia (2018) I have got my licence of Embratur/Ministerio Turismo.

One of my favourite places in town. It is one of the most visited areas in town but you can also see it in a different way, considering the atmosphere of Peninsula de Itapagipe (where is located Ribeira, Bonfim Church and Ponta do Humaita). I call it blessed panoramic tour, as we will visti the most famous church in town - according to locals, you can ask anything that Senhor do Bonfim will listen. Church of Bonfim: The veneration of Nosso Senhor do Bonfim is an old tradition in Portugal. It's our Basilica. . . if a Brazilian comes to Salvador he does not leave without visiting this church!!! We will visit Ribeira, the old fisherman village now became famous for the picturesque atmosphere and of course the famous Sorveteria da Ribeira (flavours of different tropical fruits "cupuaçu", "caja", "biri-biri"). Just before Ribeira, Mr. Prentice House is open to see local art. At the end of the tour, a panoramic view of Salvador from Ponta do Humaita and Forte Monte. My favourite sunset in town.
The suggestion of standard tour (we can adjust for your needs): 1. Panoramic Tour Driving in Barra and Dique do Tororo. (* For High Season, to stop in Barra is usually only possible in the early morning or we do panoramic view) 2. Drive to Cidade Baixa (Ribeira, Bonfim and Ponta Humaita). Visit the most famous church in Bahia: Basilica do Senhor do Bonfim, a panoramic view of the city and the best ice-cream in town. 3. If it is possible to visit Mr. Prentice House - a local artist in Ribeira (he works in his house and not always is available to visit) 4. Booked in the afternoon? - I suggest the sunset at Ponta do Humaita or Barra to finish the tour!! PS It is possible also to add a cost of a driver. Highly recommend to add the car in the high season (Jan/Feb) Ask to add the food experience in Feira de Sao Joaquim (extra cost) We always do stops local places for local food and sometimes shopping. *ASK for option on CARNAVAL

Private Sedan Car - FIAT Cronos 2023. For bigger groups (more them 3, we can adjust the vehicle and transportation for a Sprinter Van) If you want we can add a extra cost for a private driver - I recommend if you have low mobility in town.
