Hi, I'm Carlos, nice to meet you! Graduated in business administration, but always a lover of tourism, I started my professional life around 20 years ago working in hotels, restaurants and events, before developing my career as a Tour Guide. I lived in the United States, where I finished my final year of High School, and also in Europe, where I studied in France and Germany. I love traveling and discovering new cultures and I am equally passionate about my homeland, Salvador, a vibrant city with a fascinating mix of indigenous, European and African cultures. I love researching our rich history and culture and sharing it with our visitors. I am available to provide you with an excellent experience in Salvador and in the beautiful tourist regions of our state. Welcome to Bahia! And remember, all my tours can be customized upon request. Credencial for guiding localy in Bahia state, as well as Brazil and South America None

This private itinerary will allow you to discover the extraordinary history and architecture of Salvador, as well as the rich mix of cultures that makes it such a unique city in all of Brazil. You will be taken on an in-depth adventure through the upper city and its historical center, home of the first capital of Brazil. I'm passionate about the city I was born, that has a combination of the Portuguese, local Indigenous People and African cultures. I'm the result of this great mixture and after working with tourists from different parts of the world for over twenty years, I feel ready to make your trip the most enjoyable experience.
• We will start our tour at the Farol da Barra, where we will enjoy the spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean and the entrance to the bay. • Then, we will make our way up Ladeira da Barra, where we will reach the upscale neighbourhood of Vitória. • We will pass through Campo Grande Square and its famous monument to Dois de Julho. • We will then reach the top of the Upper City, where the Portuguese built the first capital of Brazil. • From the Municipal Square, we will have a view of the bay with its islands. At this point, we will provide free time for lunch. • Now it's time to walk around and visit the other squares: Sé Square, Jesus Square (where we will visit the Basilica Cathedral), and Pelourinho Square (where the Jorge Amado Foundation and the Church of Rosary of the Black Men are located). All my tours can be customized upon request.
