Hi, I'm Carlos, nice to meet you! Graduated in business administration, but always a lover of tourism, I started my professional life around 20 years ago working in hotels, restaurants and events, before developing my career as a Tour Guide. I lived in the United States, where I finished my final year of High School, and also in Europe, where I studied in France and Germany. I love traveling and discovering new cultures and I am equally passionate about my homeland, Salvador, a vibrant city with a fascinating mix of indigenous, European and African cultures. I love researching our rich history and culture and sharing it with our visitors. I am available to provide you with an excellent experience in Salvador and in the beautiful tourist regions of our state. Welcome to Bahia! And remember, all my tours can be customized upon request. Credencial for guiding localy in Bahia state, as well as Brazil and South America None

Overview of your Salvador tour

The journey to the historic town of Cachoeira will take you around the coast of All Saints Bay, in the Recôncavo Baiano, and surprise you with a delightful day of insights into Brazilian rural life. This region is rich in history and natural beauty. Cachoeira is located 110 km (68 mi) from Salvador and was, during the colonial period, a thriving commercial city with a busy river port. It was here that we started the battles against the Portuguese for the consolidation of Brazil's independence in Bahia. This tour can be done from Tuesday to Saturday.

Your Salvador tour itinerary

On our way to Cachoeira, we will stop in Santo Amaro to visit a fascinating and bustling rural market, where you will see (and maybe taste!) some of Bahia's spectacular fruits, vegetables and its peculiar products. We will see the Church of Our Lady of Purification. Once in Cachoeira, we will take a walk to admire the typical colonial architecture, churches, and the idyllic Paraguaçu river, one of the most important in Bahia. For lunch, and depending on availability, we can go to a colonial farm (where we will have a beautiful view of the river and surroundings) or to a local restaurant in town. After lunch, we will visit a famous handmade cigar, before we return to Salvador.
