Hi, I'm Carlos, nice to meet you! Graduated in business administration, but always a lover of tourism, I started my professional life around 20 years ago working in hotels, restaurants and events, before developing my career as a Tour Guide. I lived in the United States, where I finished my final year of High School, and also in Europe, where I studied in France and Germany. I love traveling and discovering new cultures and I am equally passionate about my homeland, Salvador, a vibrant city with a fascinating mix of indigenous, European and African cultures. I love researching our rich history and culture and sharing it with our visitors. I am available to provide you with an excellent experience in Salvador and in the beautiful tourist regions of our state. Welcome to Bahia! And remember, all my tours can be customized upon request. Credencial for guiding localy in Bahia state, as well as Brazil and South America None

Welcome to Salvador, the first capital of Brazil and one of the oldest cities in the country, an amazing city to visit, visually refreshing, famous for its local colonial Portuguese architecture, beautiful beaches, Bahian music and the smells of local food in the company of extremely warm and relaxed people who are proud to be Soteropolitanos (a person born in Salvador). We will discover Salvador's Cidade Baixa or Lower City, which is considered an area of great architectural interest with its beautiful historical and cultural treasures across the city neighbourhoods overlooking the calm waters of the Bay of All Saints, such as Ribeira, Bonfim, Ponta de Humaitá and Boa Viagem, all of them characterized by the bucolic air of an inland town. This tour will reveal to you the extraordinary city of Salvador so join me and let me take you to see the best of my hometown!
• We will start our tour at the Farol da Barra, to enjoy the spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean and the entrance to the bay. • Then, we will make our way to Dique do Tororó, where we will appreciate the famous sculptures of the Orixás (African Deities) and to see the soccer stadium, Arena Fonte Nova. • Making our way down to the Lower City, drive through Salvador's old financial center towards Ribeira neighbourhood. We will stop at Salvador's most traditional ice cream shop, Sorveteria da Ribeira, where we will have a chance to enjoy some of the over 70 flavors available, many of which are made with the typical fruits of the region. • Next, we will arrive at the world renowned Bonfim Church, one of the most famous churches in all of Brazil and a great representation of the religious syncretism so present in our culture. • On the way, we will go to Ponta de Humaitá and stop at the Mont Serrat Fort, where we will enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of Salvador. This tour can be customized upon request.
