I was born and raised in Alaska like my mother before me. I grew up traveling the state with my father as he worked on construction sites as an engineer. I have a B. A. in political science from the University of Alaska and there is little I don't know about Alaska history and culture. I am part Native-Alaskan (some people call them Eskimo) and know much about that part of my family tree. I am proud to be Alaskan and enjoy sharing my knowledge of the Great Land with visitors from all over the world. Our last time we had to transfer between Ancorage and Seward we took the bus shuttles the cruise ship provided. It was a crowded, cramped boring ride. This time I opted to have a private shuttle with plans to stop at various points enroute to our hotel. Ryan didn't disappoint, he picked us up from the airport and gave us a nice history and tour. We stopped for lunch...

Ryan was very nice and knowledgable. We had 4 adults and the van he was going to use was not avaliable. He took us in his small SUV and it was cramped. But did make it up to us by taking us to a waterfall which was usually not part of his itenerary.
